‘RHOC’s’ Kelly Dodd sells NYC apartment with romantic past
This is the Kips Bay apartment where Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Kelly Dodd, 45, got engaged to her now-husband, Fox News senior correspondent Richard Leventhal, 60, after a whirlwind courtship.
The home at 251 E. 32nd St., was asking $899,000 in 2018 and last asking $778,000 before selling for $750,000, according to property records.
Leventhal bought the charming three-room bachelor pad in 2015 for $650,000. He now lives in California with Dodd. The couple met before the pandemic, in the summer of 2019 at a party in the Hamptons, where they were introduced by fellow “RHONY” star — and budding real estate broker — Ramona Singer.
Leventhal and Dodd married a few weeks ago at an “intimate” ceremony in Santa Rosa, Calif., where guests wore custom masks. The one-bedroom, one-bathroom co-op, which comes with a $2,084 monthly maintenance fee, is on the 19th floor of a 20-story postwar building. It has plenty of private outdoor space — a 253-square-foot terrace with city and river views.
The entire apartment was renovated to look perfect on TV and Instagram. Leventhal, ever a romantic, covered it in flowers and popped champagne when he asked for Dodd’s hand in marriage, according to People.
The open kitchen may be tiny, but it is fierce, with a two-seater counter and stainless-steel appliances. The apartment was listed with Warburg Realty’s Gill Chowdhury and Zach Gutierrez, who declined comment.
The buyer is Feiran Hao, according to property records.
