Tom Sandoval spoke of his on-stage appearance with ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix and reacted to being booed by the audience during a red-carpet interview at BravoCon on Friday.
As Sandoval, 40, looked back on his messy, months-long affair with Rachel “Raquel Leviss, 29, and addressed his ongoing living situation with Ariana, 38, the Vanderpump Rules cast member was applauded by his co-star, Lala Kent, 33, who pointed out that Sandoval has remained strong amid the backlash he continues to receive from fans.
“I don’t know that it’s respect. I’m not sure what to call it. But with everyone really hating on Tom, he still went out, he still performed shows, life went on,” Lala noted, per Taste of Reality on Instagram. “He’s sitting in front of y’all while y’all boo him.”
“I have to be honest,” she added, “if I were in his position, I’d tell y’all to go f*ck off.”
After Sandoval and his castmates, including Lisa Vanderpump, 63, took to the stage for their panel, and Sandoval began talking to the moderator, the audience flooded the room with boos. Still, Sandoval said it “feels good” to be in Las Vegas and applauded the fans as “amazing.”

Also while on stage, Sandoval was questioned about his potential “Scandoval” regrets.
“Of course, I would’ve done things differently but I can’t really look towards the past. I can only embrace what happened, try to learn from it, and go towards the future,” he explained, via a clip shared by Comments by Bravo on Instagram.
But the person asking the question wasn’t happy with the response and asked for “more,” encouraging Sandoval to “be honest”
“Of course, I would’ve done things differently,” he continued.
Then, after Lisa asked him if the answer was “all of it,” he replied, “Yes.”
Meanwhile, on the red carpet with Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, 40, said the two of them were happy to be in Sin City.
“We’ve actually been on our best behavior. Tom’s been putting a lot of work into himself. He hasn’t drank in six months,” Schwartz said on Access Hollywood‘s Housewives Nightcap on November 3.
Regarding the Pump Rules panel, however, Sandoval admitted he was “really glad it’s over.”
“I think you handled it well, Tom, I didn’t see you lose your cool. Never let them see you sweat. That’s what they say in Hollywood,” Schwartz noted.
When Sandoval was then asked about the fans’ booing, he suggested he didn’t realize that’s what they were doing.
“Wait, what?” he asked. “I thought it was more of like an Arsenio Hall, like ‘Whoo, whoo, whoo!’ I think that’s what it was.”
And Schwartz was in on the joke as well, saying, “I didn’t hear any boos. [Maybe] a hiss or two.”
Also during the interview, Sandoval looked back on his time with Ariana at BravoCon.
“She’s definitely wearing that stank face,” he noted, adding that they are “not really” in a better place.
“We’re working on it,” he continued of their living arrangements. “You’re gonna see how that kind of plays out this season.
At some point during the Pump Rules BravoCon panel, James and Tom took their shirts off and got into a pushup contest on stage, during which Ariana appeared visibly uncomfortable and made sure to turn her head to avoid looking a Tom.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is set to premiere on Bravo in January 2024.
