Kenya Moore is backtracking on her earlier denials about the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" poster scandal that led to her suspension.
In a surprising twist, Moore confessed to "elevating the situation," marking a stark contrast to her earlier stance in June when she passionately declared her innocence and hinted at proof that would clear her name.
Kenya Moore's drama began earlier this year, which centered on an explicit poster featuring rookie cast member Brittany Eady.
While she previously denied the allegations, Moore now admits she played a role in the controversy, acknowledging her actions during a candid interview. Moore clarified that she "was never fired," dismissing rumors about her departure from the series.
However, she took full responsibility for her involvement in the scandal, saying, "In hindsight, it is always 50/50. If I could do it all over again, I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation."
While appearing on the "Tamron Hall Show," as featured on the show's YouTube page, the 53-year-old shared her regret over her actions.
"I am sorry for what I've done. I didn't have to take it that far," the star stated, adding, "I've elevated situations before, and I've taken full accountability for the things that I've done."
The controversy, which broke out earlier this year, centered on an explicit poster featuring rookie cast member Brittany Eady, sparking significant backlash. Initially, The Blast reported in June that the star denied any involvement in the scandal.
Moore took to Instagram to double down on her denial. She shared a carousel of sweet moments with her daughter, Brooklyn, set to Terica Marie's "Simple Things."
In the caption, the mother-of-one expressed gratitude for the support she received during the controversy. "Thank you for all the support #teamtwirl. My heart is full, and my conscience is clear," she wrote, addressing the false claims.
Moore promised to reveal the truth behind the rumors, declaring, "The rumors and narrative about me randomly showing nudes or revenge p is 1000% untrue. I have proof and will share soon."
Moore's departure from "RHOA," sparked an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow Housewives alike. Many encouraged the former beauty queen to embrace a brighter future beyond the drama of Bravo's hit series.
"I think you are too good for that show. You deserve your own show, beauty, and brains," one Instagram user gushed. Another wrote, "We are truly at the end of an era. Will always support you, and I know you thrive in your next chapter. Sending you love and light, my Detroit sister."
Fans also celebrated Moore's iconic legacy, calling her "Gone With the Wind Fabulous," "Black Barbie," and "Brookie's Mommy." Moore's fellow Housewives also showed their support. Porsha Williams commented, "A beautiful vacation with your princess is exactly what's needed!"
Teresa Giudice from "RHONJ" added, "The most important thing in life is your precious daughter."
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum also rallied behind Moore, accusing Bravo of unfair treatment of the star over the explicit poster scandal.
Glanville did not hold back, taking to X to call out the network for allowing physical altercations on "RHONJ" while punishing Moore for far less.
According to The Blast, Glanville wrote, "Women are physically fighting on RHNJ & that seems to be ok with producers. Where is HR now? Also, I'm pretty sure producers pushed Kenya to show that video."
She further criticized Bravo for allegedly rigging the situation between Moore and Eady, drawing parallels to past scandals like the abuse "RHOBH" star Taylor Armstrong endured. "They know what is going to happen before it does," she claimed.
In another post, Glanville slammed Bravo's alleged toxic culture, writing, "Create the villain, enable the villain, praise the villain, then punish the villain for being… a villain."
Moore's ex-husband joined the star's supporters in speaking out in her defense, accusing Andy Cohen of being sneaky in his role in her suspension.
The Blast reported that Daly, who appeared on "RHOA" during his marriage to the actress, took to Instagram Live to share his thoughts on the situation.
The restaurant owner expressed his disdain for the show's producers, including Cohen, referring to him as "the snake-in-chief" and accusing them of mistreating Moore.
He claimed, "They did Kenya dirty," asserting that the drama surrounding her exit would not have happened if he had not been involved.
Daly also made it clear that, as a husband, he felt it was his duty to stand up for Moore, just as a wife would protect her husband. He concluded by affirming that Moore "still would have got a check" despite the show's drama.
Despite initial denials, Kenya Moore's candid reflections have shown her willingness to learn from the situation.
