Erin Lichy wrote a cryptic post about “taking a step back” from “public appearances,” and she revealed why she recently went on Watch What Happens Live. Meanwhile, her husband Abe Lichy addressed the “reality” of their marriage, saying “love and marriage” aren’t “linear.”
On the current season of Real Housewives of New York, Erin shared how Abe betrayed her when he hid financial decisions. Abe then stated that they didn’t know each other well when they got married, and they’re now learning new things. Erin explained that she was dealing with Abe’s betrayal when she found out that her mom has cancer.
“I’ve been taking a step back from public appearances,” said Erin in a cryptic October 9 Instagram post, addressing her recent interview for Watch What Happens Live.
“But … I was asked to come onto WWHL with my mom in audience to support breast cancer awareness month, knowing everyone in the audience would be a survivor,” she stated. “Last night was so special … [the] distraction has been somewhat healing.”
“I was honored to wear pink and support. Thank you for having me,” Erin added. She then addressed her mom. “Thank you mama @dorothy_somekh for coming, for sharing your story, for being so brave. You are truly incredible. Thank you to my amazing team … You girls keep me grounded. I appreciate you more than you know.”
Around the same time, her husband Abe also wrote a cryptic post about love and marriage not being “linear.”
“Love and marriage are not linear things,” he wrote on Instagram, via @bravoandcocktails_. “Healthy relationships have ups and they have downs. That’s actually ‘reality’.”
“Besides, being in a flat and linear relationship would be a boring life. We’re all of us flawed,” he shared. “Find someone you can be yourself with and you’ve found treasure. [Erin] – thank you for accepting me as Human.”
In the new season, Erin is feuding with Brynn Whitfield over a recent radio interview in which Erin was asked if someone is supporting Brynn’s lifestyle. Erin also recently shared on social media that her father passed away.
The Real Housewives of New York airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
