Tom Brady may have retired from the NFL, but his job as a dad will never end.
The 7-time Super Bowl champ gave a sweet shout-out to his three children during an emotional speech at his star-studded induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame at Gillette Stadium Wednesday night.
“Your dad loves you more than anything in this world,” the former football pro addressed his three children — Jack, 16, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
“Your smiles outshine the morning sun. And where I live now, that’s a pretty brilliant sun.”
“There’s no greater joy than watching the three of you grow and teach me things on your way to becoming incredible young adults,” the former quarterback added.
Brady, 46, shares Benjamin and Vivian with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, and Jack with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan, 53.
The father of three and Bündchen, 43, split in October 2022 shortly after Brady decided to backtrack on his retirement from the NFL.
Elsewhere during the ceremony, during which Patriots owner Robert Kraft retired Brady’s No. 12 jersey, Brady said it was “good to be home,” adding that he was “overwhelmed with gratitude and a deep sense of honor.”
Ahead of the event, Brady’s children filmed a special tribute highlighting their dad’s accomplishments in the NFL across 22 seasons.
In the sweet video, which Brady shared on Instagram, Brady’s children told him not to “get any ideas” about returning to the NFL.
The seven-time Super Bowl champ captioned the clip, “My kids surprised me this morning with this video, and I wanted to share it with my Patriot family too. What a ride. See you tonight New England .”
In February 2022, Brady announced he was leaving football after 22 seasons with the Patriots and Buccanneers.
Nearly a month later, Brady decided to return to football, claiming he belonged “on the field” rather than “in the stands.”
Brady returned to the field for one last season with the Buccaneers before announcing he was “retiring for good” in February 2023.
He has since moved to Miami, Fla., where he co-parents his kids with Bündchen, who also resides in the Sunshine State.
