ABC's The Golden Bachelorette is looking to minimize the onscreen presence of one of this season's contestants after it was revealed he was accused of stalking by a ex-girlfriend three months ago.
An ex-girlfriend of contestant Gil Ramirez, 60, was granted a temporary restraining order by a court in June, People reported Thursday citing legal docs it reviewed.
Producers have 'further edited his already limited screen time and minimized him in promotional assets moving forward,' an insider told the outlet of the network's plans for dealing with the issue.
Ramirez - a Mission Viejo, California native billed as an educator on the series - passed a background check - a show source said.
The allegations against him were made after he was vetted for the reality romance, the source said.

'This filing occurred in the brief period between completion of our thorough background investigation and exhaustive vetting process, and the beginning of production,' said the source.
Ramirez was presented with a rose by Joan Vassos, 61, on Wednesday's broadcast of the series, theoretically paving the way for another appearance on the next broadcast of the reality romance.
In court docs reviewed by the outlet, Ramirez's ex-girlfriend requested a domestic violence restraining order, on the grounds of emotional harassment.
Ramirez's ex-girlfriend said that he had not physically harmed her, but frightened her with two weeks of unwanted contact via '25 attempts daily via phone, texts [and] video.
'Despite telling him to not contact me, come to my house - he made repeated unwanted contact with me, family members and friends,' Ramirez's ex-girlfriend said in legal docs. 'Although lives an hour away - showed up at places I frequent to confront me on a daily basis.'
In court docs, Ramirez's ex requested he no longer contact her, and physically remain away from her home, work, vehicle and the school her kids attend.
The temporary restraining order was granted until a hearing slated for July 2, which was pushed back after servers were unable to locate Ramirez to present him with the restraining order documents.
The court order was continued until another hearing on July 24, the outlet reported, noting that a woman was sworn in and supplied testimony in the case.

According to court records, the case was 'dismissed without prejudice for lack of prosecution for lack of service' and the temporary restraining order had been scuttled.
The issue involving Ramirez comes shortly after news surfaced that The Bachelorette's season 21 winner Devin Strader had been arrested in March of 2017 in connection with allegations he had broken the terms of multiple temporary restraining orders and broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend.
Strader's ex-girlfriend received an order of protection from abuse from a court March 22, 2017 in Louisiana after reporting to officials that three days before, she had come home 'to find her room burglarized' after returning from a trip, People reported, citing court docs.
Strader's ex-girlfriend said that she and Strader lived nearby and 'had just recently broke up' and he did not have any keys to enter the home.
In one complaint Strader's ex-girlfriend told the court that he had set fire to 'what appeared to be the actual restraining order' outside of the dwelling.
Strader, 28, on Thursday issued a statement denying the allegations of wrongdoing against him.
'Most recently, there have been challenges from a low point in my past that have been brought up and severely misconstrued,' Strader said. 'The accusations are simply not true as I have never inappropriately laid hands on another individual or treated my ex-girlfriend in any of the ways I have been depicted.

'That restraining order was never granted, and fully dismissed. My college ex-girlfriend and I ended up reconciling, and eventually ended our relationship on good terms.
He ended his statement in saying, 'This was the first time I ever fell in love and I learned a lot from our relationship. It was a growing experience for both of us.'
People noted that the permanent restraining order was not enacted due to his ex-girlfriend asking the court to dismiss it.
