Chris Kreider’s injury could be more serious than originally anticipated and there’s one hint to lead us to that conclusion.

There was speculation that Othmann’s impressive play with the Hartford Wolf Pack would earn him a spot in the NHL, but the timing of this move leads to some questions.
Kreider missed the Rangers’ Sunday afternoon game against the Penguins with an apparent upper-body injury.
He’s been listed as day-to-day. However, Othmann’s call-up very well could mean that Kreider may miss some time.
How much time exactly will he miss if any? That is unclear right now.
Kreider has dealt with a nagging back injury all season which caused him to miss a couple of games.
