Teddi Mellencamp sidesteps affair questions following cheating bombshell: ‘Multiple sides to every story’

Teddi Mellencamp avoided discussing her alleged affair with a horse trainer after their relationship was exposed this week.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum vaguely acknowledged that she cheated on estranged husband Edwin Arroyave during Thursday’s episode of her podcast with Tamra Judge, “Two Ts in a Pod.”

“There’s multiple sides to every story,” she said with a shaky voice. “I’m not going to confirm or deny anything, but there’s many people involved, and I once again say the same statement I said before –– the kids, they’re the priority and so for the time being, that’s all I’m going to discuss on this.”Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge on a podcast

Mellencamp, 43, previously emphasized how she’s “prioritizing” their three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.

“I mean, we’re moving along,” she continued. “I just didn’t want to get that, ‘Oh you’re such a hypocrite, you won’t even bring [it] up.”

Judge, 57, interrupted Mellencamp and pointed out that “there’s a time and a place” for Mellencamp to discuss things further, but at this moment, things “need to be kept private.”

“Small kids are involved,” Mellencamp reminded listeners. “You don’t wanna throw other people under the bus. Like, there’s just so much that I am not ready to process or talk about or involve the kids in.”A selfie of Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave with their three kids

Mellencamp said she hopes that fans “can just understand” she needs privacy at this time and cannot divulge too much.

“There’s always, in every situation gonna be somebody who is vocal and someone who is not, and I know in my world of recapping ‘Housewives,’ I’m pretty vocal. But when it comes to kids and other people’s lives that didn’t sign up for this or did sign up for this, I got to just take a beat. But I’m still here, and I’m showing up for work, and I’m doing the best that I can,” she concluded.

The former Bravolebrity dropped the episode after sources told Page Six that Mellencamp was allegedly having an affair with her horse trainer and close friend’s husband, Simon Schroeder.Simon Schroeder posing for a photo

Mellencamp and Schroeder allegedly started seeing each other romantically in May and later traveled to Florida together to attend an equestrian event. At the same time, his wife, Karli Postel, was allegedly giving birth to their second child in California.

“Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth,” a source told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Postel later saw alleged inappropriate text messages between Schroeder and Mellencamp and confronted the two of them.

“They confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again,” the Daily Mail’s source said, and added that “Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out” because “she was willing to give Simon another chance.”Edwin Arroyave, Teddi Mellencamp posing for a photo

However, Postel eventually changed her mind and told Arroyave last month when she learned the alleged affair hadn’t stopped and even escalated to becoming an “emotional” affair.

“She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery,” the Daily Mail’s source said. “It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around.”

Mellencamp filed for divorce from Arroyave on Nov. 1 and publicly announced the split one day later. He later filed to dissolve their marriage one week later and sought to honor their prenuptial agreement.
