RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence Reduced for 2nd Time, Find Out Her New Release Date

Jen Shah‘s prison sentence has just been reduced for a second time.

About a year-and-a-half after the 51-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum was dealt a six-and-a-half-year term after being convicted of conspiring to commit wire fraud, and following a one-year reduction a short time later, several more months have been sliced off of her sentence.

According to inmate records obtained by E! News on October 10, Jen’s prison term was recently reduced by eight more months, which means she’s set to be released from the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas on December 19, 2027.

As RHOSLC fans will recall, Jen was arrested in March 2021 after being accused of running an alleged telemarketing scheme that targeted senior citizens, and she immediately proclaimed her innocence. However, in the months that followed, as she prepared for a trial, she changed her tune, entering a guilty plea in July 2022 and admitting she “knew it was wrong.”

“Many people were harmed and I’m so sorry,” she stated.

While Jen hasn’t been featured on RHOSLC since season three and has been incarcerated since February 2023, her Instagram page has been updated on occasion. And at one point, she addressed claims of having given Heather Gay, 50, a black eye.

“BRAVO, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it,” she said. “It’s clear the show can’t live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle[,] and end of season 4.”

Jen also threatened to sue Bravo for defamation over the claims against her and refused to sit down with Andy Cohen, 56, about her fraud case.

“I understand that emotions are high right now as a lot of misinformation is being put out to the public maliciously due to a decision that was made back in January 2023,” Jen’s rep explained at the time. “That decision was to not move forward with a 1:1 interview [with Andy].”

“I find it important to make transparent the true events as Jen closes the door on this toxic relationship with the network and production company,” the rep continued. “The 1:1 interview would [have] take[n] place in her home as they discussed the particulars of her case, and her relationship with the other ladies of the show. Due to the holidays and the looming sentencing date approaching, Jen elected to spend time with her family, as well as continue to abide by the advice of her legal representation – which is why she did not attend the Salt Lake City Season 3 reunion.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
