Paige DeSorbo Gets Candid About Cat Daphne's Milestone First Birthday: 'I Truly Feel Like I Gave Birth to Her' - lulu

Paige DeSorbo just celebrated a milestone as a cat mom!

Since bringing home her furry feline Daphne in July 2024, the pair have become inseparable. "I don't want to brag, but Daphne is the coolest, chillest cat ever," the Summer House alum, 32, tells PEOPLE over the phone.

To celebrate the pet's first birthday, DeSorbo teamed up with Fancy Feast for a one-of-a-kind birthday bash with elegant meals and stunning decor.

"I really felt like a mom because I was like, 'I'm not doing anything. I'm not going all out. It's just a cat.' And then when Fancy Feast reached out, I was like, 'No, this is perfect, and so her," she says of the fête.

For her big first birthday bash, Daphne got the opportunity to meet the famous Fancy Feast Cat. While she initially thought that her cat would be "nervous" meeting the feline advertising icon, DeSorbo says Daphne was "so chill."

According to the Giggly Squad co-founder, Daphne looked at the Fancy Feast Cat before gazing at her, but she ultimately "didn't do anything."

"I really feel like I did birth her because truly nothing impresses her," says DeSorbo. "She does not care about human food. She does not care about other cats' food. She doesn't really even care about other cats."

DeSorbo has spent the past year learning the best ways to spoil Daphne. The wildest thing she's done for her furry friend? "I bought her a very expensive cat carrier," the fashion entrepreneur says. "And did I need it? Absolutely not. Was it worth the investment? Also, no. But I love it, and she looks so freaking cute in it."

Since becoming a cat mom, DeSorbo says she's "100%" become more attracted to cat dads because "they're obviously emotionally intelligent."

"They can read and pick up on signs," she says. "So, yes, very into cat dads."

However, DeSorbo is "automatically against" people who don't like cats.

On the heels of Daphne's celebration, the podcaster and TV personality is already planning Daphne's next birthday — and it might include a new furry friend.

"I think, maybe she needs a brother. I feel like if you have one, why not have two?" she says.
