Lisa Rinna Says It’s an ‘Amazing Compliment’ to Be Compared to Model Daughters: ‘Come on, Look at Them’ - lulu

Lisa Rinna's fashion inspiration is none other than her own daughters!

At the WWD Style Awards in Los Angeles on Jan. 3, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 61, told POEPLE that she's often influenced by their looks.

“They have really great style,” Rinna said of Delilah Belle Hamlin, 26, and Amelia Gray Hamlin, 23, who have both launched careers in modeling. “Come on, look at them. ... I watch everything that they do.”

At the publication's inaugural event, which honored stars such as Tracee Ellis Ross while uniting designers, wardrobe stylists, beauty pros and more, the star recalled a recent fitting she attended with her daughters: “I was literally wearing baggy jeans, a tank top and a bomber jacket, and little Mary Janes with socks. I walked in, and they said, ‘Oh my God, you look like Amelia.’ And I went, ‘All right, that’s an amazing compliment.’ ”

Rinna shares her daughters with longtime husband Harry Hamlin — first welcoming Delilah in 1998 not long after the pair tied the knot, and Amelia in 2001.

Both daughters moved to New York City to continue their studies after graduating high school, and now they each work as full-time models: Delilah made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week in 2016, and Amelia followed in her footsteps, hitting the runway for the first time at New York Fashion Week the next year.

Amelia even crossed paths professionally with her mom during Copenhagen Fashion Week in February 2023 when the reality star walked in the Rotate runway.

"I think it's been so beautiful for the two of us to be able to go on this fashion journey together. Never in a million years did I think that my dreams would also overlap with my mom's, but we're loving this for her," Amelia told PEOPLE. "She’s the reason I am who I am. I am so lucky that that is the woman that raised me."

Amelia has been spotted rocking one of Rinna’s vintage Alaïa dresses from ’90s, and wore her mom’s Alaïa wedding dress in a shoot for Paper magazine in 2021.

“My mom has so many dresses in her garage saved up from over the years. She had shown them to me a few months ago and that stirred up the idea,” Amelia told the publication. “I got rid of all of my thoughts towards what other people would think of me recreating my mom and thought, 'What would my mom love the most? What would get her sentimental?’ ”

The proud mom has also had some industry overlap with her eldest daughter. In 2022, Delilah collaborated with the star on a Rinna Beauty nude lip kit.

“When we were able to actually work together and do the photoshoot together, that was really fun as well because we got to play around with [the products],” the young model told PEOPLE about the experience. “She just has such great energy."
