There were tears as the most recent bombshells picked their latest Love Island partners.
Harriett Blackmore and Montel McKenzie rocked up to the South African villa and immediately caused chaos among housemates. Now, their decision to split two couples has left some emotional with their decision not sitting well.
For Harriett, her explosive return on Thursday night's episode completely shook up villa life as her blind kiss with Ronnie Vint brought his feelings for his ex flooding back. Harriett saved Ronnie for last in the kissing challenge, with the boys unaware she had joined them. Elma was visibly shaken, exclaiming, “No f*****g way!” before Ronnie admitted he knew who the kiss was from - and rated it a 10. "He's given her a 10, he knew who it was," Elma fumed.
He later pulled his former partner for a private chat on the terrace. With the girls sat below on the daybeds, eavesdropping, Ronnie told Harriett: "When you walked in, my heart went, and it’s never gone like that…”
Despite telling her the kiss had "brought back every feeling", Harriett opted to couple up with Ron Hall. Her decision leaves Elma teary over the whole situation, while Ronnie seemed cross after Harriett's choice. He was seen shaking his head as Ron walked up to hug his new partner.
Montel, meanwhile, who had turned the heads of a number of the women in the villa, opted to couple up with Kaz Crossley. His decision shook Catherine Agbaje, who had been hopeful of meeting her match. She appeared upset at his decision as she remains in a loveless pairing with Nas Majeed.
As she continued to struggle to find her dream man, some fans online had begged former flame Scott van der Sluis to reenter the villa. The duo had a romance in the summer 2023 series. However, Scott bluntly told concerned users Catherine "doesn't need saving". Instead, he told them to be patient.
"She’s a beautiful grown woman who has gone back on for a reason," he said. "We’re only just over a week in, give her time people she will find her way."
Earlier in the week Catherine had told Elma: "I just want someone to hold my hand." It came as she tried to light a spark with Nas, but the pair struggled. Eventually, they both agreed it wasn't worth fighting for.
