Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave make major U-turn on divorce months after her affair was exposed before brain tumor scare - suong

Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave have put their divorce on pause, with the reality TV star expected to move back into their family home in the wake of her emergency brain surgery.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47, in November, days before DailyMail.com exposed her months-long affair with her German-born horse trainer Simon Schröeder.

Despite being rocked by infidelity claims, divorce is currently ‘off the table,’ with Arroyave helping his estranged wife to recover after she revealed the devastating news that 'multiple' tumors had been found on her brain following a lengthy battle with skin cancer.

‘Right now, Edwin’s focus is on her recovery and the divorce is off the table,’ an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘It is no longer being discussed. His concern is that she gets better.

‘The surgery was successful, and she is expected to return to the home she shared with Edwin and their three children. They are going to help Teddi recover.’

The troubled spouses announced their split late last year after 13 years of marriage and three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, four.

Arroyave was pictured at Mellencamp’s bedside, posing with his wife in the hours before she underwent surgery to remove two tumors last Wednesday.

One image showed Mellencamp, with devices on her forehead, holding onto Arroyave’s neck as he lent over her hospital bed.

He shared the image to his Instagram alongside a passage from Jeremiah 17:14 and wrote: 'Lord, I lift up @teddimellencamp to You. You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body.

'Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery. In Jesus' name, Amen.’

The Colombian-born TV star also shared a short clip to his Instagram stories which featured their youngest child Dove asking if he was going to stay at the hospital.

'Yeah, this is my bed. This is where I sleep,' he said before panning the camera to show that he was sitting on a couch next to his wife’s bed.

On Monday night he thanked fans for their ‘continued prayers and well wishes’ as he posted an update on her health.

‘Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover,’ he wrote before sharing a picture with Slate and Cruz on route to visit their mom.

Teddi Mellencamp shaves her head before emergency surgery

The source added that they 'currently have no plans to get back together romanitcally.'

Mellencamp, who is the daughter of American singer John Mellencamp, was rushed into hospital last week following 'several weeks' of 'severe and debilitating headaches' which had left her in ‘unbearable’ pain.

'After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believed have been growing for at least 6 months,’ she said ahead of the operation.

'Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today - the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.’

She then shared a clip of herself dressed in a hospital gown as a friend shaved her head.

'I'm going to have this look on my bucket list!' she joked. 'My best look!'

Her latest surgery comes two years after she was diagnosed with stage two melanoma.

She previously shared a pictured of the large, zig-zag scar across her back and shoulder from surgery in December 2023 to remove the deadly skin cancer which kills nearly 10,000 people per year.

It is not clear if her brain tumors are related.

Mellencamp’s devastating health blow appears to have helped reconcile her marriage to Arroyave, three months after they found themselves at the center of a contentious divorce battle.

The reality star announced her split via Instagram, hours after filing for divorce on November 1, with the pair soon feuding over spousal support and child custody.

DailyMail.com later revealed she had been having an affair with married Schröeder, with sources claiming this was the catalyst for their split after years of couples therapy and cheating claims.

Earlier this month she implied that infidelity destroyed their relationship long before she strayed.

'Me and Edwin had some of the most amazing years and the most amazing times, and when we met it was hot and it was all the things, and then there would be somebody else,' she told The Skinny Confidential podcast.

'And I'd be like, "It's okay, I'm gonna work through it, I'm gonna make him love me more!" Then you have kids and things happen.

'Probably at the point in time when Edwin was ready to start working on it and really change, I probably stopped.'

Arroyave has yet to comment on her comments.
