Kyle Richards EXPOSES Depression & Almost QUITTING ‘RHOBH’ Over Marriage & Lesbian Rumors!

Kyle Richards opens up about nearly quitting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 due to depression and pressure over her marriage and rumored lesbian relationship with Morgan Wade.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kyle admitted to feeling depressed, something she had never experienced before. “I just didn’t have it in me anymore. I was at a point where I was so depressed,” Kyle shared.

“I’m not someone who gets depressed. I’ve had anxiety my entire life but never depression. I really felt like I was struggling with depression, and I expressed that. And I just felt like I could not go into scenarios all the time and just have everyone coming at me.”

She continued, “People I thought were my friends, all of a sudden it felt like they weren’t. I just felt like it was too much with what was going on in my life and I thought, ‘Why would I subject myself to this? I don’t know why I’m continuing to do this.’”

Despite her fragile state, Kyle revealed her castmates didn’t give her the support she needed, which made it even harder. “It was absolutely the closest I’ve ever gotten to not coming back to the show,” she admitted.

After taking some time off, Kyle found support from Bravo and her production team, helping her regain her strength and return to filming.

“I took that time until I felt strong again and gathered my thoughts [on] what I wanted to do,” she explained. Kyle returned to stay busy after her husband Mauricio Umansky moved out and said she wasn’t ready to lose her “crew family.” However, not everyone was happy with her brief absence.

“There were some people who said they were going to hold me accountable for walking out,” Kyle revealed.

While Kyle describes herself as an “open book,” she admitted that there are boundaries when it comes to what she shares on the show. “Sometimes you have to consider other people, whether it’s my children or whoever. My kids will say they don’t want me to talk about this or that, and I have to respect that,” she noted.

As for her relationship with Mauricio, she confirmed that they remain friends and family, navigating their separation together. Although she’s not ready to date yet, Kyle has seen the headlines about Mauricio’s rumored relationships.

Kyle Richards admitted she knew Dorit Kemsley would come after her this season, but the constant drama became too draining.

She expressed frustration over how their issues were exaggerated and pointed out that Dorit didn’t follow “girl code,” which ultimately led to their tension. She also revealed her and PK were like brothers and sisters, very close.

Looking to the future, Kyle expressed her desire to be the “longest-running housewife in franchise history,” while also revealing that she’s hesitant to recommend friends for the show.

“If I’m going to recommend someone I know, they would be a little removed from my life. It’s very hard to navigate your relationships in reality television,” she explained.
