Former Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek seems to be finding his second career in hockey as a broadcaster.
Voracek was spotted doing color commentary for Czech TV during the 2024 IIHF World Championship.
According to TSN's Gord Miller, Voracek has one of the most colorful vocabularies he's ever heard. He puts quotes around vocabulary for what has to be seen as a 'not allowed on TV' vocab.
Voracek has had moments on TV before where he's not held back at a reporter during a televised media availability.
Whenever there is a glimpse behind the scenes in the Flyers locker room, Voracek isn't afraid to let his teammates know what needs to happen—colorfully, of course.
He is now broadcasting in his native Czech language; who knows what Voracek might say on air? While it is doubtful he would swear on a broadcast, he certainly doesn't seem like the kind of broadcaster to shelter his true feelings about how a team is performing.
Miller also gave a behind-the-scenes look at Voracek's outfit, which resembles a Zoom video call during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Voracek looks like he is enjoying retirement, and maybe he's found his second calling in hockey.
