Candiace Dillard is still skeptical about how Porsha Williams’ marriage to Simon Guobadia began.
“They had a beautiful wedding,” the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star, 36, says of the couple on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
“But it was definitely a little sketch how they got together, for sure.”
Dillard — ever a seeker of truth — notably pressed Williams, 41, about her relationship with Guobadia, 58, while filming Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” Season 3 last summer in Thailand.
“The streets said that you dated him and he was married to her,” the “RHOP” star told the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum at a group dinner, referencing Falynn Pina.
Pina is Guobadia’s ex-wife and she joined Season 13 of “RHOA” when she was still married to the Nigerian-American businessman. She was cast as a “friend of” Williams at the time.
Although Guoabadia and Pina separated by the time he began pursuing Williams, that knowledge wasn’t immediately made public — leading many viewers, including Dillard, to believe that the “Pursuit of Porsha” author “stole” her pal’s man.
“So, what actually happened was I’m on a show and they told me, ‘We’re going to bring in a new wife.’ When I met [Pina] and her husband, I didn’t really place him at the moment but I knew him already,” Williams clarified.
“Fast-forward it just didn’t work out for her and she left.”
Dillard jokes that no one is “going to be satisfied” with Williams’ explanation.
“It was a PR answer and, at this point, I guess it doesn’t matter because they’re married and they look happy,” she says on “Virtual Reali-Tea.”
Dillard also acknowledges that Pina’s “credibility is kind of shot” due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding her split from Guobadia.
As Page Six previously reported, Guobadia accused his ex of cheating on him with Jaylan Banks in June 2022.
Two months later, she and Banks announced they were expecting a child together. That October, a pregnant Pina accepted a proposal from Banks.
However, the pair suffered a miscarriage this January and broke up weeks later.
“It’s like all these twists and turns and the timeline is just so short … She was with the guy and then now they’re not together, so what came first?” Dillard muses. “Chicken or the egg, we don’t know.”
Although Dillard’s curiosity caused a bit of tension during “RHUGT,” the “Drive Back” singer says she ultimately enjoyed connecting with Williams overseas — even if fans expected them to feud.
“When Porsha was announced, I was excited because Porsha is obviously a great ‘Housewife,’” she says.
However, Dillard adds that she had a bit of hesitation, as well, because she did not know if producers were expecting them to talk about their past “beef.”
Dillard and Williams clashed years ago after the “Dish Nation” co-host publicly expressed support for Dillard’s onscreen adversary Monique Samuels amid an explosive fight that played out during Season 5 of “RHOP.”
“Contrary to popular belief, I don’t like eating people for lunch … it’s not my go-to,” Dillard says. “But I was like, ‘I don’t want to have to, like, get into it with her and end her life with my mouth.'”
“Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” is available to stream on Peacock with new Season 3 episodes dropping on Thursdays.
