Love Island star Ron Hall's poignant eight-word message as he leaves the villa - suong

The latest contestant to exit the South African villa in the second series of Love Island: All Stars told the show: "I want to leave on a happy note".

Ron Hall, 27, bid farewell to friends on the ITV2 reality show spin-off on Monday night, choosing to exit the show without a match. However, he stressed he wanted to depart "on a happy note".

The man, who made history as Love Island's first partially-sighted contestant, confided in the lads: "My time is done... I think, not having a couple, not having, like that strong connection with anyone, I’m a very logical person."

Pondering his chances, he added: "It’s like, what chance is that right person gonna walk through the door... I want to leave on a happy note."

Scott Thomas, 36, decided to leave the programme last week as he "didn't want to force a connection". Ron alluded to this bombshell exit as he explained his decision to his fellow contestants.

"I know we’ve just lost Scott, and I know it’s s**, but it is my time... There’s only so much that I can do, sitting in the sun, just sort of staring at the door for the right person. I just don’t know whether that right person is going to come in for me so I am going to go tonight," Ron, a former financial advisor, added.

Ron had previously finished as runner-up in the ninth series of the main show with Lana Jenkins, though their romance dissolved months post-villa. On All Stars, he was coupled with Danielle Sellers from the 2017 series.

Daniellehad sparked a new flame with dancer Curtis Pritchard, who, in a recent recoupling, picked 2022 winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu over Hall, leaving him paired with Danielle.

Chatting with the lovely Maya Jama, Ron dished out: "Those boys in there are amazing, the girls in there are amazing. They’re just not the girls for me."

Ron, who tragically lost his sight in one eye during a childhood football game at the tender age of eight, also champions the cause as a celebrity ambassador for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB). In a dramatic turn on Sunday's Love Island: All Stars, Scott found himself having to honour his truth and bid adieu to the villa after his romance with fellow season two alum Tina Stinnes fizzled out.

Post-split, Tina received a comforting shoulder from some of the ladies before tensions flared among the Islanders over Scott's choice to end things. Elma Pazar didn't mince her words, telling the distraught TV personality: "If you’re not happy, Scott, then go home, babe," in a fiery moment.
