Adam Peaty is officially engaged to Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly.
The pair shared the exciting announcement on Instagram on Thursday with an array of romantic holiday snaps, and of course, Holly, 24, shared several photos of the huge diamond ring Olympic swimmer Adam, 29, chose for her.
Adam has been romantically involved with 24 year old Holly - the daughter of fiery TV chef Gordon Ramsay, 57 - since 2023. The pair made their relationship public in June last year - although it was suggested they might have been dating for several weeks before making it official. The couple even expressed their affection for each other through tattoos. Adam got an 'H' tattooed on his neck - while Holly had an 'A' inked onto her skin, discreetly hidden behind one of her ears.
Back in April, the pair sparked engagement rumours after Holly posted a sweet message on Instagram. However, the pair are now officially engaged after dropping their romantic news this morning. Alongside a series of snaps, Holly confirmed : "I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now.
"I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you. Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you & I cannot wait to be your wife.
"I promise to always be there with you and George, I’m so grateful [sic] to be in his life and I cannot wait for more. Everything is better with you. Everything has been better since you. Here’s to forever. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13."
The first snap had her showing off her gorgeous engagement ring as she held her hand close to her face and smiled joyfully. The star was enjoying the sun as she rocked a white bikini. Her nails were manicured a perfect ballerina pink. Another snap showed Adam holding her hand up as she posed with her new ring.
Before falling head over heels for Holly, the swimmer was in a serious relationship with Eirianned Munro - with whom he shares a son with. He recently admitted he endured 'three years of hell' battling depression and alcoholism, as well as breaking up with Eirianned.
Adam met Eirianned on Tinder in 2019 while training in Loughborough, where she was a student. Their son was then born in September 2020.
Following the end of his relationship with Eirianned, Adam owned up to his mistakes, revealing he "let her down". Eiri has spoken out on how his stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 with dance partner Katya Jones who herself had been at the centre of a previous scandal with comedian Seann Walsh marked "the beginning of the end" for them.
One of the more talked-about moments on the dance show saw Peaty and Katya in an almost-kiss during a passionate routine, prompting Eiri to post a tongue-in-cheek video acting distraught and sharing it with the caption: "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV finding out 10 million people also watched it."
In a candid chat, Eiri mentioned Adam didn't "reassure" her amid swirling rumours of a fling with Katya. However, Peaty refuted such claims steadfastly, taking to social media to express his frustration: "To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real-life consequences. I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip. Protect your energy."
And in a candid chat with The Sun on Sunday, the former Strictly star issued a stark warning to potential contestants: "My advice wouldn't be to the partners of those going on Strictly, but for the celebrities participating; involve your family in the process it can be a very lonely process for partners. And if you're not strong enough to go through the process if your relationship isn't secure, or you don't know how to handle the intense attention that comes with it don't go on the show."
Eiri also reflected on her own experience and concluded optimistically that despite the split, "if it wasn't for Strictly", something else would have caused them to part ways.
She expressed gratitude for the early realization for their young son's sake: "Sadly if it wasn't for Strictly it would've been something else. I'm grateful we found out we were not meant for each other sooner rather than later, for the sake of our young son."
The mum-of-one has since said that she forgives her ex-partner after he resorted to partying and alcohol after swimming had left him "broken". She told MailOnline: "I've chosen to forgive and move forward - anything other than that does not serve the wellbeing of myself, my son and our family.
"We continue to love, care and pray for Adam and are wishing him a full recovery." In May 2023, Adam opened up about his mental health struggles, including depression and alcohol, describing it as having a "devil on his shoulder" that made him question his worth despite years of dedication.
He confessed to hearing "hears voices inside his head" that fuelled self-doubt before races, saying: "If I was going out to a race sometimes it would be 'you don't deserve this', even though I've done seven, eight, 10 years of work."
Eiri has since embraced her new life, sharing insights into single motherhood during a recent Q&A session on social media. To a fan who confided about fears of becoming a single mum, she responded warmly: "Honestly...it can be so very scary and so very sad."
However, she reassured fans of the special connection it brings, saying: "But it will give you the strongest most beautiful bond with your child." Emphasising the importance of support, she detailed her move back to Wales: "Surround yourself with people who love you deeply and it'll get easier every day. Thanks for chatting with me, love and appreciate you guys."
