Rangers insider faces massive backlash after hot take on K'Andre Miller's future in the NHL

The New York Rangers received a massive haul in return for K'Andre Miller, 2 draft picks, and defenseman Scott Morrow. NHL Insider Jonny Lazarus had a hot-take which might end up being true about Miller as a player as he matures in the Carolina Hurricanes.K'Andre Miller

While at this point in time, it's not a debate, Noah Dobson has been a better defenseman throughout his career in the NHL, in its infancy.
For the Rangers, Miller has suffered through the ebbs and flows of development and was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes for Scott Morrow and two draft picks.
NHL Insider Jonny Lazarus has quite the take on the topic, as he's put out a hot-take that pretty much angered the fans.

His take?
The player that the Rangers traded will not be the same one who we speak about in the next four years, as he is primed for growth under Rod Brind'Amour and the Carolina Hurricanes.
Which is debatable considering how we've seen him play the last two seasons, a steady decline, with a lack of rebound in 2024-25.
Despite this, Tulsky might've erroneously put his trust into Miller, who has shown a lack of consistency during his time in New York.
Eric Tulsky:
«It's a big price to pay, but we think he's a great fit for our system,» Tulsky said. «You hear me talk a lot about how hard our scouting department works to identify players who will fit. He was one of them.»

This statement reads hope, but for reality:
Lazarus, who thinks Miller will be better than Noah Dobson down the road just because he's a Hurricane, it's quite a wild take considering the history we've seen so far in New York.
