"Why Lala Feels 'Terrible' About Her Comment on Kyle Richards and Mauricio's Marriage: A Genuine Insight into Her Reaction"

Lala Kent is setting the record straight after making comments about Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's separation.

During a recent episode of her podcast, the Vanderpump Rules cast member sounded off on the rumors that she got pregnant with her second child as a "storyline." She denied the accusations by comparing the rumors to the speculation that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills diamond holder staged her split for the show. After some confusion from listeners, Lala clarified what she said on an episode of Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge's podcast, Two Ts in a Pod.

"I was trying to say, because people were saying I staged my pregnancy for a storyline," Lala explained. "So I was saying, like, 'Yeah, and Kyle and Mauricio staged breaking up their entire family for a storyline.'"

Tamra wondered if Lala was "being condescending," and Ocean Kent Emmett's mom responded, "Yes."

"I need to be better..." Lala said about making parallels between her situation and that of others. "So, I just, that's what I was saying. I'm like, 'Yes, people in this industry are shaking up the entire dynamic of their family after 27 years and four children for a storyline one season.'"

"You were mocking, of course, that they wouldn't be doing it for a storyline in the same way you wouldn't get pregnant for a storyline," Teddi clarified. "It is a life-changing event."

"I did not know that's how people took it," Lala admitted, before adding, "Oh, no, I feel so bad."A split featuring Lala Kent, Kyle Richards, and Mauricio Umansky.

Why Lala Kent is feeling "empowered" by Kyle Richards

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in March 2024, Lala opened up about how much she respected the RHOBH original cast member after watching Season 13.

"In my eyes, this season, Kyle was so inspiring," Lala said about how the mom of four navigated separating from her longtime spouse. "There was something about the attitude that shifted for me, and I thought that she was so empowered and I loved her."
