As Helena Ford questions her relationship decisions with Harry Cooksley on Love Island, little does she know that people are rifling through her Twitter account and dredging up past posts.
Though we’ve already had multiple instances of Helena tweeting something objectively awful, this resurfaced tweet is a little less shocking and much more x-rated. It was exposed by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks on their Staying Relevant podcast, and while they did blur the tweet to protect her identity, Sam name-dropped her.
“I know who what is,” Sam confessed after Pete read him the tweet. “She’s on Love Island. Is that actually her Twitter? That’s Helena.”
The tweet itself was posted in 2017, in Sam’s self-described “gollum years”, and reads: “Where do I apply to sit on Sam Thompson’s face? Asking for a mate x.”
Helena even tagged Sam in the post, and while Pete suggested that Sam bring up the tweet in Helena’s upcoming Aftersun interview, he didn’t seem that keen – unlike the people in the comments.
“I did NOT expect that at all!! I wonder if Sam will bring it up,” one person wrote, as another said, “You’ve got to bring this up on Aftersun.”
Helena’s tweets are almost as famous as her Love Island stint
Though Helena has already been cementing herself as an unforgettable Love Islander, albeit for pretty negative reasons, she’s yet to see the chaos created by her resurfaced tweets.
The first to be widely shared was: “All I can hear are these f*cking foreign d*ckheads.”
Other tweets soon came to the light, with one about her mum reading: “Nah, mum’s cooking steak, is this a joke? Are you a sl*g? Why would she do this to me?”
“Told my boss I’m taking my dog for a walk, little does she know I’m talking about my mum,” another said.
Only time will tell whether Helena decides to address these tweets, though I’m praying that Sam brings it up on Aftersun.
