Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers has been hopeful about the return of the series, but many have wondered what he’s been up to since last season. Captain Jason, who has been in the yachting industry for over 20 years, has been one of the more popular Captains in the Below Deck franchise over the last few years. Originally hailing from Gosford, Australia, it’s fitting that Captain Jason handles the Aussie Below Deck iteration, taking charge of the superyacht charter on Below Deck Down Under. While he’s well-equipped for the job, he’s had to take on some serious circumstances.
While Captain Jason has a life outside of Below Deck Down Under, he dedicates a lot of his time and energy to the series and to his career. Having worked his way up in the yachting industry over the last two decades, Captain Jason is one of the younger captains in the franchise but knows his role just as well as the other Below Deck captains. Having worked with Below Deck viewer favorite Chief Stew Aesha Scott throughout the last few charter seasons, Captain Jason has been honing his craft and learning to rely on the crew he works with.
Jason Is Working With A Nonprofit Organization
Although he’s typically focused on working aboard superyachts and spending time with his family, Captain Jason has recently been working with a nonprofit organization that’s building schools for underprivileged children in Indonesia. Sharing more about his efforts in Indonesia on his Instagram, Jason shared that he’s helped raise enough money to build two new schools for a group of kids. In his video, Jason was in Indonesia helping with the efforts to build the schools and interacting with the kids. In his work with Classroom of Hope, the Captain has been able to provide education for hundreds of young children.
Jason Hung Out With Scheana Shay From Vanderpump Rules
During a recent trip to Los Angeles, Captain Jason was spotted in one of Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay’s Instagram posts documenting her time at Universal Studios. Showing off Captain Jason’s young kids along with her daughter, Scheana shared that the group had visited Universal together and showed the Below Deck Down Under star around. Scheana’s husband, Brock Davies, is a native New Zealander who the Captain probably felt at home with throughout the day. The Bravo stars may not be in the same franchise, but getting the opportunity to spend time together was likely a highlight of his trip.
