Vanderpump Rules star Rachel Leviss weighed in on the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, inspiring a rare moment of unity among Americans of all political walks of life in the comments section.

Rachel Leviss – previously known as "Raquel" before changing her name – took the time out to share a short reel condemning the shooting.

It's not clear where the reel was initially shared, nor whether it was deleted or simply archived after 24 hours — but at least one surviving video post suggests that Leviss shared it via Instagram Stories, posts which indeed vanish after a day by design.

Copies of the clip have been shared by other accounts and across social media, and the consensus seems to be that Leviss' comments were wholly pointless, trite, and mildly aggravating.

On July 14, a Reddit user shared Rachel Leviss' remarks about the attempted assassination of former President Trump via r/BravoRealHousewives:

In the wake of the high-profile Trump rally incident, myriad celebrities (along with politicians) took to various social media platforms to make statements condemning political violence.

50 Cent, Kid Rock, and Bill Maher were some of the celebrities who made remarks in response to the shooting, whether on stage or on social media.

Maher, who has been sued by Trump over his stand-up bits about the former president, said he "unequivocally denounce[d]" the violence, calling it "not funny" and speculating that the act would influence the outcome of the election.

50 Cent alluded to broader concerns about political violence in one post, and he said: "I know the vibes ... we are all in trouble now."

Rachel's video was short, clocking in at just 23 seconds in total, and she said:

"I just got back from a very long day of hiking, and I just found out the news that our former president, Donald Trump, had an attempted assassination against him today.

"And, um, I just wanted to say, no matter your political views, violence is never the answer."

As noted above, the apparent attempt on Trump's life was incredibly (and predictably) divisive, with arguments breaking out across social media in its aftermath.

Although it seemed as if few Americans were in agreement about anything to do with the incident, they certainly all agreed that Leviss' comments lacked substance and added little to ongoing discourse about the instability and political rancor currently afflicting the United States.

On Reddit, one user asserted that the since-archived Instagram Story was posted in response to a comment informing her of the shooting, as seen in the screenshot above.

Another opined that the entire video was a veiled swipe at Rachel's Vanderpump Rules castmate Scheana Shay, due to Rachel's claim that Scheana punched her.

The clip embedded on the Reddit post above was originally re-shared by TikTok VPR fan account @pumprules, where the unity Leviss inspired was on full display.

Every one of the most liked comments adopted a nearly identical sarcastic tone, and users replied:

"I don’t know what I would’ve done without these wise words from my favorite political pundit and role model, Rachel [Leviss.]"

"Thank God you spoke on this matter! 😂"

"Rachel Leviss changing the world 👏👏[.]"

"How profound, thank you! Please post more political content, Rachel. In fact, you should probably run for president next time."

"America was really waiting on your thoughts on this, thank you Rachel or Raquel or whatever the [expletive]."

Several other users not-so-subtly referenced the "Scandoval" controversy and Tom Sandoval, leaving comments such as:

Violence isn’t the answer. Sleep with your best friends boyfriend instead!

On another post, users left tongue in cheek comments about the value of a reality TV star's political views, writing: "Okay great glad we could use her moral compass on this for guidance," and " ... I've been waiting to hear from Rachel on this subject ... I'm so happy she could find time to address this."
