Trade rumors around the New York Rangers continue to heat up especially when it comes to defenseman K'Andre Miller who many feel will be on his way to a new team during this summer.![K'Andre Miller and Adam Fox]()
The 25-year-old left-handed shot defenseman is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights this offseason and it appears that several teams are interested in his services.
Miller will be a person of interest by many organizations
It appears that many NHL teams will be looking for a left-handed shot defenseman as several teams have been depleted over the past couple of years.
Detroit Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings are looking to improve their blue line as their left side appears to be quite weak and a player like Miller would certainly give them a boost as they look to try to get back into the playoff picture.
The Red Wings have the cap space as they currently have $21.3 million available prior to July 1st, and the team only has 4 defensemen who are under contract that are not rookies or veterans. Miller will be high on their list.
Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames also face similar trouble as the Detroit Red Wings when it comes to the left side of their defence as a player like Miller would give them a boost in talent and continue to make the team younger.
Flames general manager Craig Conroy has been quite active over the past couple of years since taking over the job and has re molded his team to help make them become a playoff contender.
Los Angeles Kings
Lastly, the Los Angeles Kings could also be a fit for Miller as there is a strong possibility as defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov of maybe lost to free agency and will need a new option to replace him.
Miller's size at 6 foot 5 and 209 lbs would be beneficial for the Kings as they continue to be a strong physical team and help improve their status amongst their rival Western Conference teams to be not out muscled in the playoffs.
It remains to be seen on what the Rangers will do with Miller, but it appears that he is likely on his way to another organization and that the Rangers will try to recoup as many assets as they can as the offseason moves along.
