Tom Fletcher had to make an emergency visit to A&E this week after a shock flare-up of a health condition made him look like he'd been 'smashed in the face'.
The former McFly singer and Strictly star, 39, suffers from a rare eye condition called uveitis, which causes inflammation inside part of the eye.
It has to be treated immediately when symptoms - which can include pain, blurred vision and light sensitivity - occur to avoid long-term complications such as vision loss and blindness.
Tom shared an update to Instagram on Monday, posting a selfie on his Story showing the left side of his face drooping due to the condition.
'Not the day I had planned. Uveitis sucks! My autoimmune thing flared up out of nowhere last night,' he wrote.
'Woke up feeling (and looking) like I'd been smashed in the face! This is after it had calmed down and I could see again.'

Tom, who lives in Richmond, London, with his actress wife Giovanna Fletcher and their three sons, shared that he went to the A&E department of The Western Eye Hospital in central London to get treated.
'Hate having to come here but so thankful it exists!,' he wrote. 'The doctors and nurses have helped me out so many times now.'
Tom, who says he now has to take eye drops every day for the next six weeks, has documented previous flare-ups before, with the most recent one being in 2023.
It came just months after he was rushed to hospital with the same condition in the run-up to Christmas 2022, and had to undergo six weeks of steroid treatment.
He shared on social media at the time: 'Sorry I've been quiet for a bit. I was wiped out with some sort of illness and in bed for a few days. I just got back on my feet yesterday and uveitis decided to kick me down again.'
Elsewhere, Tom has reportedly been left feeling 'uncomfortable' over his McFly bandmate Danny Jones' 'drunken kiss' with Maura Higgins.
The singer, 38, and the Love Island star, 34, who both appeared on I'm A Celebrity last year, were seen sharing a smooch at the Brit Awards.
According to The Sun, Tom feels 'humiliated' to be caught up in the drama as he attended the awards show with Danny.

A source said: 'Tom is by no means a party animal – in fact he made it quite clear the afterparty was not on his mind, but Danny had other ideas.
'Tom wasn't there when the pair were seen getting close, but feels he is still associated with what went on.
'He doesn't even know Maura, he doesn't follow her or any other Love Island stars – he just doesn't really mix in those circles.'
McFly, who formed in 2003, is also made up of Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter.
A representative of Tom Fletcher declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
The band have been open about their difficulties in the past with Harry admitting they went for therapy and have had a 'complicated' relationship.
He told the i paper: 'We all had different ways of communicating. Dougie and Danny hate confrontation.
'So it creates problems and resentment. And people can be too controlling. All these layers build up. It's men not talking, really.'
