”Summer House” fans are hoping a spinoff is in the works. Amid ongoing questions about the cast’s status on the long-running Bravo reality show, viewers looked to the season 9 finale for clues—and they found a big one.
On social media, fans weighed in on the finale scene with Lindsay Hubbard, Amanda Batula, and Paige DeSorbo that was shot at Hubbard’s apartment shortly after Hubbard gave birth to her first child, Gemma. Much of the pickup scene, shot in January 2025, involved DeSorbo talking about her split from Craig Conover, but the trio also spent time talking about the changes in all of their lives. At one point, DeSorbo said that none of their lives turned out the way they had expected.
“I feel like all three of us, this is not what we pictured,” DeSorbo said to Hubbard and Batula as the credits rolled.
‘Summer House’ Fans Think the Finale Looked Like a Preview for a New Show
Fans reacted to the finale on social media. The @realityops fan account posted a clip of the scene with the caption teasing that the scene felt like it was part of a new show. “You CANNOT tell me this isn’t a show. This is a show,” the caption read. “The end of last night’s Summer House finale felt like the beginning of something.”
“Girls in the city,” another fan wrote.
“YES! And not as a RHONY reboot, but as a new and original show! Would watch the hell outta that,” another agreed.
“This could be the start of Real Girlfriends of NY,” another commenter suggested.
The speculation comes as both Hubbard and DeSorbo have hinted that they could be at a crossroads with “Summer House.”
Hubbard previously told Entertainment Tonight that she “obviously” won’t bring her baby to the Hamptons party house this summer, but she teased the potential of filming scenes at home in New York city. “We have the last couple of years we’ve filmed a lot in the city,” the new mom noted. “So, you know, not me maybe living in the house with my eight-month-old daughter, but I do think that you know we leave a lot of room open for someone who’s in a transitional point in their life.”

There has already been a teaser that there could be a “Summer House” shakeup of some sort. During an Amazon Livestream Q&A with fans, series star Jesse Solomon revealed that at the season 9 reunion, something took place that no one saw coming.
“I would say there was, like, a big announcement that we were all very surprised by,” Solomon told fans. “But can’t tell you what.”
Hubbard told Us Weekly that “things [were] unexpected as an outcome” during the reunion taping.
While there have been no spinoff announcements, Bravo producer Andy Cohen told Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” that he thinks that Hubbard “should always be on TV.”
