Teresa Giudice Doesn’t Want ‘To Be Known’ as ‘The Table Flipper’-quang

It was the table flip heard ’round the world. Well, maybe not to that extent. But when reality TV icon Teresa Giudice lost her s–t, causing her to flip a table over, it became a legendary moment.

During the Season One finale of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Tre got into it with castmate Danielle Staub. The two fought openly in front of the cast, husbands, and even their kids. But when Danielle told Teresa to “pay attention,” something inside Teresa snapped.

Now she’s explaining why she doesn’t want that table flip to define her.

Teresa Giudice says, “I’m a passionate person”

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Teresa laughed about how she is known to the public. “When my husband meets people, they say, ‘Hey, you’re married to the table flipper.’ I don’t want to be known as that, but they love it,” she shared.

Even though she doesn’t want to be known as a table flipper, Teresa also wouldn’t change how things went down. When asked if she would handle it differently if given the chance, Tre remains unapologetic.

“I’m a passionate person. I’m Italian and I reacted just how I felt at that moment,” the best-selling author explained. “I remember after it aired, they showed it at the Emmys that year, I was at home watching TV and I came on. I was like, ‘Wow.'”

She went on to say, “I was upset and thought, ‘Oh my God, what did I do?’ I was calling the producers and, meanwhile, they were jumping up and down. I don’t normally act like that. I got angry because she was attacking my friend, I regretted what I did, but it ended up being so iconic.”

Iconic indeed. That level of drama is why RHONJ became a smash hit in the world of reality TV. Despite the franchise experiencing a ratings slump for the last few seasons, Teresa still has a seat at the table. For now.
