Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp is back in the saddle and dating again. The podcaster was with her husband, Edwin Arroyave, for thirteen years before filing for divorce. And a lot has changed in the dating world after a decade. How does one even begin? Well, Teddi didn’t waste any time. She jumped into the dating pool, got on an app, and even heard from a mysterious man from her past.
Teddi Mellencamp wants someone who is “their own boss” with a “little bit of freedom”
Teddi has had a lot going on as of late. She recently shared her experience regarding having a panic attack with her followers. Going through a divorce and being in the public eye can’t be an easy thing to go through.
Still, Teddi is putting herself out there. She spilled all the dating tea to her co-host, Erika Jayne, on the January 24 episode of their Diamonds In The Rough podcast. Teddi said, “It sounds crazy, but I’ve gone on a couple of dates. Yes.
And then dating app drama began. She lamented, “So I signed up for [the dating app] Hinge and I was like, ‘This is a freaking joke. Why are only 28-year-olds reaching out to me? Like why?’ And then I realized it’s because I had my age down too low.” Oop.
However, Teddi dished the app did bring about a blast from her past. She said, “There was somebody who messaged me and just complimented one of the photos … And then the other day, I just messaged and I was like, ‘By any chance did I meet you in 1999? Are you friends with the following people?’ And he’s like, ‘Yes, Teddi, I was wondering if you were going to remember.’” Sounds like kismet to me!
But if that doesn’t work out, Teddi knows what she wants and does not want for a date. No Mandal-wearing, loud-chewing, nine-to-fiver’s need apply. She said, “I mean, I’m not really into a 9-to-5er, I would say … I want somebody that’s their own boss, who can come and go, there’s a little bit of freedom in their life.”
