Summer House’s Ciara Miller Reacts to Carl Radke’s ‘Crush’ on Her as Carl Opens Up About His Feelings - lulu

There has been quite a bit going on during the ninth season of Summer House. This includes Carl Radke telling castmate Ciara Miller that he has a crush on her following the dissolution of his engagement to Lindsay Hubbard in 2023. Now, he’s opening up about the development of his feelings as she reacts to him being vulnerable.

Regarding Ciara, fans will recall that she joined the series during its fifth season. She and Carl became almost instant friends, and he has spoken about how she was able to be supportive of both him and Lindsay through their breakup. 

As fans know, the preview for Summer House showed a snippet of Carl talking to Ciara about his feelings for her. This has now begun to play out in the most recent episode. He spoke to US Weekly about their friendship, saying, “Ciara’s become a really good friend.”

He continued, “I felt just really safe with her,” and he added that he connected with her on a “deeper level.” Notably, he flirted with her previously in a playful way, but following his separation, the feelings began to multiply. Carl continued, “This past summer, I was just enjoying her friendship and having fun. Of course, she’s beautiful, you know that. I couldn’t help myself but express [that] in a fun way.”

Carl admitted that the moment he told Ciara was a bit “cringey,” but he still doesn’t regret it. The entrepreneur explained, “I had to let her know. I was just like, ‘I think you’re awesome. I really appreciate you. I do have a crush.’ I knew she was going to be like, ‘OK.'”

In a recent interview with the same outlet, Ciara reacted to Carl’s revelation that he had romantic feelings for her. She said, “I love Carl, but I was not expecting that, but I get it. No, I’m just kidding.” She referred to their friendship as a “special relationship,” and then she revealed, “We did have a lot of quality time this summer, and it was so great to get to know him in a different light.”

Luckily, Carl expressing his feelings didn’t put a damper on their bond as they were “laughing and having fun” at an US Weekly party months after filming on season nine wrapped.

He added, “I’m sure people are going to be like, ‘Damn, Carl, you got to get back to working on your game.’ But there’s some good flirting. It’s cute. I think. It’s real. And that’s what’s so fun about my bond with her is we actually have just a really good connection and friendship that you never know.”
