Bethenny Frankel credited herself for Lisa Rinna being cast on two reality tv shows … to Harry Hamlin‘s chagrin.
Casting by B:
According to the former Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny put Rinna on Andy Cohen‘s radar.
“Lisa and Harry … I was the one who told Andy about Lisa.” Initially, though, Andy “didn’t like Lisa. He didn’t want to have her on.”
That’s when Bethenny inserted herself into the conversation. “I was the one who told Lisa to do The [Celebrity] Apprentice and The Housewives.”
Harry had a plan to derail this crazy train. He told his wife to “ask Bethenny” about her experience on reality TV. “He didn’t want her to do it.”
Lisa and Harry are “not going to say that now because they’re mad about the sauce. But, that’s ok.”
It’s not about the pasta (sauce) for B:
In case you’re curious as to the beef over pasta between Bethenny and the couple, Lisa and Harry are seemingly holding a grudge over Bethenny’s review of Harry Hamlin’s Famous Pasta Sauce.
In December, Bethenny did a blind tasting of Harry’s sauce VS Rao’s sauce. B described Rao’s offering as “nice.”
On to Harry Hamlin’s sauce …
Skinnygirl made a sour face and exclaimed, “No! I don’t know what that is!” after a blind taste.
Bethenny described the sauce as having an overwhelming “vinegar or wine” flavor. She covered her mouth with both hands as her assistant revealed the second sauce was Harry’s. “No. I can’t.”
Harry remained unbothered. “I’m a huge fan of Bethenny’s,” the Mad Men actor began. “Taste is a personal thing. Some people have good taste. Some people have bad taste. There’s no accounting for it.”
“Give it a try. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, hey, buy something else.”
In case you’re curious, I did a side-by-side tasting of Harry and Rao’s sauces with my husband and father-in-law. Here’s our review!
