JT Thomas hints he was “gaslit” on Southern Charm after Craig Conover seemingly lied about him calling Patricia Altschul a “b**ch,” and fans reacted, claiming the cast “set up” and “targeted” him.
In recent episodes, Craig claimed JT called Patricia, 83, a “b**ch” after she took offense to his cane gift, though he gave the same gift to many castmates. Despite Craig’s claim, there was no proof or footage showing JT said it. In the past, Craig has been accused of stretching the truth on the show if not outright lying. But Craig’s story enraged his castmates, who are now rallying against JT. Before the season aired, JT revealed that he left the show.
In another scene, JT explained that Madison LeCroy’s husband, Brett Randle, called him to ask if Madison was hanging out with him alone. Madison was outraged and acted as if this were a blatant lie – though she later admitted that a phone call did occur. It seems, however, that Brett was more worried about the time she spent with her ex Austen Kroll.
In a December 20 Instagram post, JT revealed he’s selling The Inns’ signature “gas light” hats since the “timing just feels right.”

Fans defended JT in the comments.
“So sorry JT. They sure targeted you. Hang in there. You are a good person,” wrote one user.
“JT I felt so bad watching that last night. Chin up, we all saw it,” said another.
“It was a set up to make you look bad,” wrote a third.
Another declared, “Justice for JT!”
“I hope JT sues Conover for slander,” said a fifth. “Conover’s alleged lie had disastrous consequences for JT’s role on this show & livelihood. Craig shouldn’t be able to go around spreading alleged lies about cast mates.”
Addressing Madison’s confrontation, one fan expressed, via a @queensofbravo post on X, “She told on herself in this clip [that her] husband’s ‘not a jealous person’ but wants to know who was in her room bc it better not be Austen..Then proceeds to get angry [at] JT … Chile please.”
“Yeah, seems she’s upset that it was revealed that her husband was in fact being jealous and insecure, not of JT, but of Austen,” said another.
“I see what this season is going to be. Let’s all hide behind the crazy s**t we did last season & deflect on JT’s height & looks as the scapegoat & bash him for it this season. These pple are trash for this storyline,” said a different fan.
“Madison’s just pissed that the story got out, exposing the cracks in her marriage and she’s taking it out on JT,” wrote a separate user.
