I don’t think any of us were surprised that Adrian jumped at the chance to go on a date with someone else during MAFS. This week has been final test week for the remaining MAFS Australia 2025 brides and grooms, and Adrian headed out to meet his second choice bride, Maxine.

The journey for him and his actual match Awhina has been rocky so far. And there have been few occasions where Adrian has filled us with optimism regarding his feelings for Awhina. He’s had two off-screen cheating scandals, to say the least. So when he was offered the chance to meet someone the experts nearly matched him with, he of course took it.

On their date, Adrian gushed over how good looking Maxine is, and called her “just my type”. He said they had a lot in common, and their lifestyles would match. She was returning the compliments, and Maxine and Adrian seemed to really get on. One of the main struggles Adrian and his match Awhina have had is that their relationship would be long distance, but he noted that wouldn’t be the case with Maxine.

It was all looking a bit of a mess where his marriage was concerned. Since the show has aired, Maxine and Adrian have shared all about where they stand following their MAFS Australia date.

Adrian and Maxine followed each other on Instagram after their date, and did exchange a few messages. They were spotted liking each other’s posts, and people then questioned if they had become a couple after the show.

Maxine spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle about the rumours, sharing if there was any truth behind them. “Yes, I talk to Adrian, but I haven’t seen him [since filming],” she said.

“My date with Adrian went well. I mean, it was pretty scary and unnatural for me to have a camera filming me, but Adrian seemed comfortable with it which helped. I think they matched us because I said I liked dark features. I don’t know anything else [about Adrian] because I haven’t watched the show, but living with a stranger for three months, there would’ve been some butting heads!”

Adrian added they exchanged messages after the show, but “that’s about it”.  He said: “We had a lot in common, more than just living in Sydney. She was cool. I think both our dates watching that back made more sense to have been paired considering the circumstances.”
