Todd Tucker is doing well after ending up in the hospital. Kandi Burruss' husband took to his Instagram account on Monday, October 21, where he posted a photo of himself, wearing a hospital gown, and lying with his arms crossed in a hospital bed.
The husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum then filmed a video of himself explaining what happened to him and why he was in the hospital. Todd revealed that he was in Manhattan, watching a screening of Sunset Boulevard, which is a "dope Broadway play" when he started sensing that something was off.
"My blood pressure was high yesterday, like, really high, and I started feeling like, chest pains and like a numbness in my left arm," he explained. After trying to ignore it and thinking the symptoms would go away, Todd continued to feel the pain "throughout the play."
"After the play, it was just kind of really bothering me, but I kept going, went to the little after event, we went to dinner, and some friends that was with us noticed I kept rubbing my arm and stuff like that. They asked me what was the problem, and I told them, and they just instantly called 911," he said.
Although things turned out OK for Todd, he used this as a warning and relayed the message to his Instagram followers. "You know, a lot of the times, we think we're alright, and we're just like, 'Yo, I'mma be cool and you know...'" he said, before the video ended. "About last night!" Todd captioned the Instagram post.
Kandi later addressed the incident on Instagram, writing, "So the night started beautifully but ended pretty rough… Just a little scare. He’s ok… thought he was having a heart attack or stroke but he wasnt. We went to the hospital because it’s better to be safe than sorry. He’s ok!"
Todd Tucker & Kandi Burruss' friends share their well wishes for his health
Both Todd and Kandi's friends took to the comments of the post, where they shared their thoughts, prayers, and well wishes for his health and recovery. It's safe to say that some people were very concerned and happy to find out that he's doing well.
"Thank God that you're okay Bro!!!," Monyetta Shaw-Carter wrote.
Cynthia Bailey's sister Mal Bailey and Marlo Hampton took to the comments where they also left several praying hands emojis.
Details on Kandi Burruss' weight loss journey
Todd isn't the only person in his family who has been focusing on their health. In June, Kandi appeared on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast where she opened up about her weight loss journey.
The RHOA alum said that she decided to lose weight when Todd posted a video from her birthday, and some comments had focused on her weight gain. "That was it for me," she explained. "Something about turning 48, I was like, 'I definitely want to live my best life,' but I want to be one of those chicks that, always, you can never tell my age by the way I look."
