Kristen Doute nearly derailed her own engagement.
The Tuesday, July 1, episode of The Valley showed the reality star, 42, in her Hawaii hotel telling her now-fiancé Luke Broderick, 33, that she doesn't want to shower before getting on the fishing boat where Broderick would later propose because "I'm going to probably stink like fish or something, and then I'll shower after."
"I'm excited, I'm anxious. The boat is reserved, Danny [Booko] and Nia [Sanchez] are coming, Zack's handling everything at the resort," Broderick said during a confessional. "Kristen not wanting to shower was not on my radar."
To convince her otherwise, Broderick told Doute she "should shower before because I think we're going to a luau right after. I don't think there's going to be time to shower and get ready after."
"You don't need to shower every day in Hawaii if you're in the Ocean," Doute said. "It's like a boat with a bunch of gross fish guts on it."
On the boat, Sanchez told Doute she wanted to take some pictures around sunset, and Doute told her, "I'm not feeling cute at all right now. I'm sweaty and absolutely disgusting."
Doute then took some time to touch up her makeup, and she just happened to sit on Broderick's bag with the ring.
"We're at the finish line, and she's sitting on the ring," Broderick said during a confessional.
When she finished her makeup, Doute came out to the front of the boat to take pictures of Sanchez and Booko. The couple then took pictures of Doute and Broderick, and to get Doute to turn her back so Broderick could get down on one knee, Booko said he saw dolphins in the water.
As he got down on one knee, Broderick told Doute, "Your butt looks so good from this angle." Doute laughed, and Broderick continued, "Hey baby, we’ve had some awesome adventures."

When Doute turned around to see Broderick on his knee, she said, “What the f---? Are you being serious right now?”
Broderick then asked if Doute would "be the catch of my lifetime."
"I love you so much," he said. "We’ve had such incredible adventures. And so many new experiences. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”
A shocked Doute asked, "Are you serious? Is this real life?”
In a confessional, Doute said Broderick "is very much my rock."
"I mean he stands by me, he stands up for me," she said. "I love that he’s exactly who he is and lets me be exactly who I am. I love how funny he thinks he is, but he’s not. That is my partner in crime. That is my ride or die. This is the easiest yes I’ve ever said. I’m just so happy.”

During the boat trip, Zack Wickham made sure plans were underway for the engagement celebration back at the resort. When they got back, the cast surprised them in their decorated suite, wearing matching T-shirts with a picture of Doute and Broderick on them.
"To go above and beyond like this, have all these decorations, and to have all of these shirts printed and to keep it a surprise, it's really sweet," Kristen said during a confessional. “I’m really the luckiest girl in the whole world: A trip to Hawaii, a new fiancé and literally the best friends a girl could ever ask for."
When a producer asked if she was happy that she showered, she quickly said, "Yes."
"I've never been so happy that I took a shower in my life," she said.
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
