TOWIE star Bobby Norris has admitted he is "scared" after revealing he is in hospital and set to undergo an operation.
Bobby, 38, found a lump on his testicle last summer but has told fans his condition is "not great" and that he needs surgery.
In a concerning video recorded from his hospital bed, Bobby urged fans not to "ignore" any lumps and to get them checked out.
Bobby appeared on the verge of tears as he sat on his bed and told his fans about his surgery.
He said: "I'm currently in hospital and about to have an operation today.
"Some of you might remember that a few months back I found a lump and had gone to my GP and was then referred to a specialist to have further tests on it and was told to keep an eye on it.
"And we've kept an eye on it... sorry, I don't think I've kind of explained. So I found a lump on one of my testicles and um... yeah.
"So we've kept an eye on it. Not great. Um, so yeah. I'm in hospital today having an operation on it."
Bobby, who starred in last year's series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, went on to warn fans to visit their GP if they find a lump.
"It's so important for everyone to check themselves," he said.
"You have to check your body as soon as possible, because we're the first to know if any changes happen.
"Don't be embarrassed. Especially men. We feel embarrassed to go to a hospital and drop our Calvins for a doctor. Don't.
"And of course, I am scared. I don't like the thought of having it opened up like a Babybel.
"But it's got to be done. So check yourself, guys."
Bobby first told fans about his lump last August after visiting the GP.
He said the doctor "wasn't happy with it" and referred him to the hospital for further tests, including an ultrasound scan.
The star, who found fame on Towie in 2012, then said he was in for a "scary wait" for his results.
Insisting he was staying positive, Bobby said at the time: "The doctor carrying out my scans couldn’t tell me anything or give his opinion unfortunately, as I just wanted to know there and then.
"So I now have to wait to hear from my consultant regarding my results and their findings and then take it from there."
Bobby has been inundated with well-wishes from fans after his latest update from hospital ahead of his surgery.
One told him on Instagram: "Sending you lots of love ❤️ hope everything goes ok. XX."
Another added: "Good Luck Bobby, you got this ❤️😍 and great that you are sharing this as you are soooo right, guys just don't check or don't take these things seriously so thank you."
And a third penned: "Good luck Bobby I’m sure you’ll be fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery x."
