Brynn Whitfield seemed like a serendipitous addition to the revamped Real Housewives of New York cast. Of course, producers search far and wide to snag an appealing cast. But Brynn, with her love for old books and majestic trees, was a major catch for her quirky charm and beauty.
However, Brynn brushed the opportunity of being on reality TV before. Simply based on the social circles she frequented, and her connection to Lisa Vanderpump and her daughter, Pandora Vanderpump Sabo.
Brynn’s friendship with Pandora could have gotten her on Vanderpump Rules
Brynn shared the deets on her friendship with Pandora during a recent episode of Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. Host Alex Baskin is also an executive producer on Vanderpump Rules. He got the conversation going by pointing out that had circumstances been different, Brynn would have met him years ago.
“Oh yes! OK, yeah, I can’t believe in a former life we would’ve been together,” she responded.
Fellow guest Sezin Cavusoglu, who produced several seasons of RHONY, teased “the Pandora connection.”
Brynn is actually childhood friends with Pandora’s husband, Jason Sabo. So the connection was made via the romantic relationship.
“When I got my first corporate job here in LA… [Pandora] was like, come live with me, come live with me,” the public relations expert revealed. “So I lived with her, she kicked out her roommate, they gave me a Range Rover, and Lisa and Ken fed me every night. They were amazing.”
At the same time, Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, were cast on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Brynn could have been cast on Vanderpump Rules, as she was on the party scene in LA.
“They were interviewing for a show, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and they got on that show, and then two years later they’re like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna have another show… do you want to try audition for it,’” Brynn explained.
But the Bravolebrity wasn’t ready for stardom. Brynn didn’t take the opportunity at the time because she felt “reality TV is trash.”
