"I heard she's a freak in the sheets... They have fun with other people and stuff. Regardless of the consequences," Brynn mused
With a new bundle of joy, comes drama and speculation.
On the Nov. 12 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, rumors about an unexpected pregnancy flew when Erin Lichy told fellow housewives Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield that Rebecca Minkoff was expecting — but her husband Gavin wasn't the father.
"It's not confirmed," Erin prefaced before Jessel asked how she was sure the rumors were true. "Because we have a mutual friend. She had one night, like a crazy night."
"It's very, very early on and she's really stressed about it," she continued. While Rebecca didn't reveal the baby's paternity, Erin claimed that she heard from a third party that the fashion designer didn't know "who the dad is."
As Brynn and Jessel's mouths swung open at the shocking reveal, Brynn told cameras that she didn't "trust the quiet ones."
"I'm loud and I'm a f---ing prude. I would've never known my wildest dreams," she added.
Later in the episode, the housewives gathered for a friendly game of dodgeball. Before teams were called and balls went flying, Brynn rehashed the drama and told Racquel Chevremont and Sai De Silva that she heard a "crazy rumor" about Rebecca.
"I heard she's a freak in the sheets... They have fun with other people and stuff. Regardless of the consequences," she said slyly before sharing that Rebecca was paying the "biggest kind" of price and was having "another man's baby."
In a hushed conversation with Jessel, Brynn claimed that she called some of Gavin's friends and asked them to verify the couple's sexual tendencies. She alleged that the two were into "hippie s---" and Gavin didn't think it was a "big deal" that Rebecca was carrying someone else's child.
The word soon spread to other housewives and when Jenna Lyons and Ubah Hassan arrived, Sai filled them in. With the rumors spreading like wildfire, silence fell when Rebecca finally arrived. She confessed she was feeling nauseous from what might be food poisoning.
The ladies began their game of dodgeball and after a high spirited game, Jenna took Rebecca aside to subtle let her know that people were talking behind her back.
"I just want you to be very careful," Jenna said, refusing to discuss the rumors at hand. When Rebecca asked her to describe the things that were circulating, Jenna gave her a single look that she immediately understood.
"Erin, you f---ing told her?" Rebecca demanded across the room. When she claimed she only told Brynn and Jessel, Rebecca left the field with Erin chasing after her.
Outside away from prying eyes and ears, the two friends embraced as Erin laughed, "That was good!"
