Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga reacted to Teresa Giudice’s shady comment after she launched her new sprinkle cookie brand, Sprinkle by MG.
After Melissa, 45, announced her new business venture earlier in December, Teresa, 52, took to X to cryptically post, “You’re welcome.”
Melissa eventually reacted to Teresa’s apparent shade when she was asked about the comment during her appearance on the Wednesday, December 18, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “Well, she’s welcome for giving her someone to hate on for the last decade. So, she’s welcome!” she said.
Host Andy Cohen then pointed out that both Melissa and Teresa have created drama amid their complicated relationship. “You’ve both done so much for each other,” he said, and Melissa replied, “We really have.”
Teresa’s post seemingly alluded to a season 3 scene, in which she threw away a box of sprinkle cookies that Melissa, who’s married to Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, brought to her home on Christmas Eve.
The sisters-in-law have experienced many ups and downs since Melissa joined the Bravo show during season 3. Their issues were so bad during season 14 that they refused to speak, and their drama has led many fans to speculate that RHONJ may get a completely new cast for season 15.
Melissa previously addressed the theories while appearing on an August episode of the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, saying that she was “prepared for anything at this point.”
“I think I would realize that her and I are two extremely different characters, so to speak, on the show,” the reality star added about her dynamic with Teresa. “So, if Bravo decides to go that route and kind of, like, the darker route, then I need to say that is not a show that I want to be on anyway.”
Melissa continued, “I do not want to be on that toxic s–t. As long as you know she is there and that whole thing would come back, I wouldn’t find it as a loss. I also want to say, like, I’ve had a 14-year run … You can’t do it forever. You don’t go and be on a TV show for 50 [or] 20 years. I mean, I’ve been on for 14 years.”
More recently, Andy, 56, told fans that they won’t have answers about the new season for a long time. “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking,” he told Us Weekly on Monday, December 16. “And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
Meanwhile, stars Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler exclusively told In Touch that they want answers about the show’s future. “You know what? The break has been nice, but I’m ready to know what’s going on,” Jackie, 48, admitted while attending New York City’s Jingle Ball on December 13. “You know, it’s just so I could either get excited or have closure. Either way, I’m fine. I just want to know.”
