The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans reacted to the ratings difference between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice’s recent Watch What Happens Live appearances, declaring the “numbers don’t lie.”
Earlier this month, Melissa launched her sprinkle cookie company, seemingly shading her sister-in-law’s past complaint about receiving sprinkle cookies from Melissa at Christmas.
Amid the family members’ feud, the show was put on hiatus, though the stars recently appeared on separate episodes of WWHL. Melissa filmed with fellow guest Bronwyn Newport, and Teresa filmed with Ashley Darby.
According to ratings shared by @RatingsBravo via @therealityrundown on Instagram, Melissa’s December 18 WWHL episode earned 0.185 million. Teresa’s December 17 episode pulled in 0.334 million.
Out of Teresa’s viewers, .07 million came from the coveted 18-49 demographic, while Melissa earned .03 in the same demographic.
In the comments, fans shared their reactions.
“[It’s] the facts not sprinkle cookie here 😂,” wrote one user.
“Numbers don’t lie!! Like [Melissa] lol,” said another.
“Melissa didn’t pay her bots that night,” joked a different fan, alluding to a rumor that Melissa allegedly paid for Instagram fans. “She use the bots money for the sprinkle cookies page.”
“I love Bronwyn! I love Ashley! And I love TERESA! I’m sorry I genuinely can’t get over how Melissa is famous for hating Teresa,” wrote a fourth fan. “It’s so parasitic. She needs an identity. This is exactly why you can’t pay attention to your haters 😂 you’ll make them relevant by giving them any sort of reaction or attention.”
“It’s clear as day that Melissa is trying to hold on for [dear] life, but the truth of the matter is people would rather watch Teresa [because there] is nothing authentic about [Melissa],” said another viewer. “She [is] kissing Andy’s a** trying to act like this perfect castmate so she [doesn’t get] fired when they’re not looking for perfect classmate[s]. They’re looking for people that the viewers wanna watch.”
Back in season three, Teresa first mentioned the sprinkle cookie drama.
“[Melissa] came to my house Christmas day,” said the star at the time, via Bravo TV. “She brought me sprinkle cookies. I said to her, ‘Melissa, nobody touched the cookies you brought. I threw them in the garbage. You know what my favorite cookies are? Pignoli cookies.’ That’s what I said.”
