Nicole Martin won’t be on the next season of The Real Housewives of Miami, but she won’t stand for any slander in her absence.
After her former costar Marysol Patton claimed that “nobody misses” Nicole, 39, since she left the show, the anesthesiologist took to Instagram to set the record straight.
"Real friends, not a friend of 😘😉,” Nicole captioned a Sunday, November 3, Instagram video that showed her partying with RHOM stars Lisa Hochstein, Kiki Barth and Guerdy Abraira.
The post began with a clip of Marysol, 57, fielding questions about Nicole during Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s TWOTSCon event on Friday, November 1. When Teddi, 43, said she would miss the dynamic of the group with Nicole, Marysol replied, “You know what? Nobody misses her. Her name hasn’t come up once.”
The OG Miami star went on to add, “We only have five weeks of filming left. It’s like she was never there.”
In the same interview, Marysol said she wasn’t surprised that Nicole decided to leave the show, adding, “I was kinda OK with her choice.”
In her post, Nicole added the text “social media vs. … ” over the Marysol clip before cutting to the party footage, which came with an overlay reading, “Reality.”
Her caption, meanwhile, referenced the fact that Marysol is not a full-time cast member on RHOM, having been billed as a “friend of” since season 3.
In the comments section, Lisa, 42, replied, “So much fun last night great seeing you all!” Adriana de Moura also chimed in to note, “Missing you every day! 😍.”
Nicole announced her exit from RHOM in September ahead of season 7. She had been part of the series since it was relaunched in 2021 with season 4.
"Given where I am right now, I have decided not to return to RHOM,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Prioritizing my health and my family is something I need to do at this moment. It’s a step towards healing and finding balance, and I hope you can understand and support this choice.”
The reality star added that she’s been battling postpartum anxiety since welcoming daughter Genevieve with fiancé Anthony Lopez in March. (The couple also share son Greyson, 5.)
"This pregnancy, I started to suffer from significant postpartum anxiety — something new that I did not experience with my previous pregnancy,” she explained. “It all started about a week after giving birth when I found myself having an overwhelming sense of worry and fear out of nowhere. It felt like my mind was constantly on high alert, panicked and worrying endlessly about the health of my baby, myself, and my family.”
Nicole later told People that she may return to the show in the future in a smaller role. “I’ll pop-up here and there, just not in a full-time capacity,” she said. “I just need to shift my focus on other things right now.”
