RHOA’s Shamea Morton Reacts to Drew Calling Her a “Lapdog,” Porsha’s Hot Mic With Dennis, and Shares What Dennis Texted Her, Plus Simon’s Biggest Red Flag, Kandi’s Advice, Newbies and Baby Plans

Shamea Morton appeared on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live, where she addressed the recent drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Shamea, 42, reacted to Drew Sidora, 39, suggesting she’s a lap dog, commented on Porsha Williams‘ drama with Drew and Dennis McKinley, 48, and shared what Dennis texted her and her husband, Gerald Mwangi. She also revealed Simon Guobadia‘s biggest red flag, recalled Kandi Burruss‘ advice, confirmed plans for a baby boy, and more.

“I saw [Kelli Ferrell]’s lapdog, and I was like, Cha-Cha is living the good life. So if I can be that kind of lap dog, ruf ruf!” Shamea laughed on the March 16 episode of WWHL after being asked about Drew’s diss.

Then, when asked about Porsha, 43, breaking the fourth wall during a tense moment with Dennis, Shamea admitted, “It broke my heart.”

“I don’t like to see Porsha sad, and Dennis is her family now. They share a child together, and it is messy of him to muddy the waters and work with one of her castmates,” she noted.

As for whether Dennis was trying to get back on camera or retaliate for Porsha’s marriage to Simon, 60, Shamea was unsure.

“I don’t know what the motive is, but it’s nasty work,” she declared. “There are so many people that Drew can work with … I mean, come on.”

In addition to Dennis filming with Drew, Shamea confirmed he reached out to her days prior.

“It was a chat with me and my husband, and he said, ‘I’m casting a movie, Reginae’s the lead. And I would love it if you would be in it, like the mom in it.’ No response. You’re not gonna get me in it,” she stated.

As someone who spent a lot of time with Porsha and Simon during their marriage, Shamea said the biggest red flag she saw was his inability to allow his wife to have girl time.

“When we would try to have our girl time, we would sit on the couch … and he’d come sit right in the middle of us, like, ‘What’s going on?’” she recalled. “I’m like, ‘Can you get him out of here? Can we have a moment?’”

Regarding the three newbies of the season, Shamea described Kelli as “well-groomed and sharp,” said Brit Eady was a “streetwalker,” and yelled, “Jacksons,” when asked about Angela Oakley.

She then shared the advice she received from Kandi, 48.

“Block and delete. Don’t read the comments. Turn your notifications off. They’re not your best friend. They’ll love you today and hate you tomorrow,” she explained.

During a game of Can! You! Defend!? about Porsha, Shamea admitted that traffic gets “really bad” when asked about Porsha’s late arrival to her birthday, and she noted that Porsha had “fun” in her marriage to Simon. As for Porsha’s frick and frack friendship with Phaedra Parks, 51, she added, “It’s a yin and a yang thing.”

At that point, a virtual fan wanted to know if Porsha should have more grace for Drew since they’re both going through messy divorces.

“Honestly, I think Porsha empathized with Drew a lot initially,” Shamea said. “When we were at the shoe show where the ladies clap a little bit for ones, she did say, ‘I’m not really mad at Drew about that. I’m cool. If they’re doing music, it’s fine.’ And it wasn’t until later when she felt like, ‘Okay, Drew is doing the most with the whole Go Naked Hair, trying to do a photoshoot with my line, that’s off limits because now you’re trying to mess up where I eat, the Go Naked stuff, as well as her trying to film for [RHOA] with [Dennis].’”

She then offered an update on her surrogate, Shadina, and confirmed plans for another child.

“Shadina and I are doing well. She’s actually helping me with this next journey into surrogacy. We’re trying to have a boy, so she’s doing great, cancer-free and just living her best life. She has a new full rack. I told her, ‘Some perks came out of that, huh?’ She’s doing really well,” she revealed.

Also on the live show, after naming Angela as the cast member with the worst fashion sense, Shamea confirmed her reaction to being offered a peach.

“Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!” she declared.

Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Shamea was asked how her husband feels about her role on the show.

“He’s excited now … [He wasn’t into it before] not at all. Absolutely not. He was like, ‘You do it, you do it.’ So to have him even just be there at all, I was like, ‘This is happening,’” she shared. “[Before], he was like, ‘I’m not doing it.’ Even down to when you guys came to my home the first time, and we were supposed to do a family game and we had practiced it the night before, and the next day, I’m mic’d up ready to go. They’re like, ‘Where’s your husband? Bring him. We’re ready to mic him.’ He’s like driving out of the side gate like a runaway bridegroom person. I’m like, ‘Where you going?’ ‘I’m out of here.’”
