Nene Leakes isn’t happy with “messy” Andy Cohen after seeing that he called her out on last night’s episode of his Bravo TV late-night show, Watch What Happens Live.
Following the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Andy welcomed Nene’s co-star, Eva Marcille, and singer Ashanti to his show, where he got quite the rise out of Nene after pointing out that she had recycled a look she wore to a Los Angeles event for her cast confessionals.
“One of Nene’s confessional looks this year is the same dress she wore to our big doorbell show in L.A. where the strap broke,” Andy told his audience on Sunday night. “So I guess she fixed her strap, which we love. You know what? We just love our eagle-eyed researchers here.”
As Eva put her hands over her mouth and Ashanti said, “Oh my God,” Andy insisted he wasn’t intentionally throwing shade.
“What? Was that shady? I didn’t mean for that to be shady,” he told his guests.
Following the live diss, Nene took to her Instagram page, where she reacted to what Andy had said.
“Can somebody please tell me what was the point of this? Like I don’t get it. That was 2 years ago I wore this dress ONCE, so I can’t sit in a confessional with it on [Andy]? How many times have you recycled your suits and ties?” Nene stated, adding the hashtags “pointless” and “messy.”
According to Nene, she shouldn’t have to worry about Andy, or any other Bravo TV executive, coming for her.
“It’s enough that we [Real Housewives of Atlanta] ladies come for each other and now we have to worry about executives coming for us! No I mean coming for me! It’s not cool,” Nene stated. “Wasn’t you interviewing those girls? What you mad about? Y’all stay coming for me but soon as I say something or do something I’m wrong. I don’t appreciate this at all.”
After Nene shared her post, and the clip that got her so heated, several of her fans weighed in.
“Andy stays trying to act like he’s not shady,” one person wrote.
“What’s really going on?” another noted. “This was not in good taste of Andy being a leader.”
Others, however, felt Andy’s comments were not a big deal.
“Don’t take it personally love,” wrote one fan. Another follower of Nene’s added: “It was messy lol but it’s not the worse thing I’ve heard.”
