Report: Lisa Barlow Slams ‘One-Time’ Friend’s $400K Lawsuit: ‘Fanciful Tale’-quang

The hits keep on coming for Baby Gorgeous. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow has been busy as of late battling the husbands on the show. She got into it with Justin Rose when she called his wife Whitney a liar. Then Todd Bradley wanted her to leave Palm Springs when she and Bronwyn Newport got in a tiff over Heather Gay. Outside of the show, Lisa has also been busy battling a law suit claiming she owes $400,000. And this might be more challenging to dismiss than the husbands.

Lisa Barlow says the lawsuit against her for unpaid loans is a “fanciful tale” and has “demanded the case be dismissed”

It wasn’t too long ago that Lisa had another lawsuit against her. She was sued for allegedly not paying back a loan for her Vida Tequila company. Thankfully, the case was dismissed. And now Lisa is filing a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against her for more alleged unpaid loans.

In Touch Weekly reported that Lisa is fighting to dismiss a lawsuit from her “one-time” friend, Bart Carlson. He is claiming Lisa “failed to repay him loans he allegedly provided her from 2010 to 2018.” Her lawyer wrote, “Lisa Barlow and Bart Carlson were one time friends and business partners.” The two owned a restaurant that sold in 2016. Then “they went their separate ways and eventually ceased contact.”

Her lawyer continued, “Now, years later, Carlson has concocted a fanciful tale in which he purports to have bankrolled Barlow and her companies with an open line of credit that had no terms or conditions and no repayment date.”

They are trying to dismiss the case due to several factors. Lisa’s lawyer claims that Bart “failed to state the elements of an enforceable contract.” They are also arguing that Bart’s claims “were filed past the statue of limitations.” However, in October, “the judge denied Lisa’s plea to dismiss the case.” They ruled, “Bart had pled sufficient facts to withstand dismissal of his case.”

Lisa has denied any wrongdoing. Her lawyer added, “[Bart’s] claims are barred, in whole or in part, by the contributory negligence of [Bart].” Lisa has “demanded the case be dismissed and her legal fees be paid by Bart.” It will be interesting to see what the judge rules next.
