Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes is no stranger to plastic surgery, and she’s previously admitted to getting a nose job, a breast lift, a mini Brazilian butt lift and liposuction.
However, NeNe, 56, looked practically unrecognizable in an October 2024 Instagram snap.
“Lately, there have been pronounced differences to her facial features,” Dr. Craig Blum, a double-board-certified plastic surgeon who has not treated NeNe, exclusively tells Life & Style. “Most notably, her nose appears thinner, which serves to open her face and give it a softer, more youthful look.”
Dr. Blum also adds that “she may have had laser procedures beneath the under eyes to tighten loose, crepey skin” and says that NeNe’s “smooth forehead suggests the possibility of ongoing nonsurgical treatments like filler or Botox to maintain a refreshed look.”
In August 2022, the Bravolebrity shared a portion of her plastic surgery journey with fans when she underwent a Brazilian butt lift and liposuction.
“I did it! I got a ‘Professional BBL’ with Dr. Okoro! Follow my surgery journey with Dr. Okoro at Georgia Plastic. I’m almost ready to show off my new snatched look but I want you to be snatched too!” NeNe wrote alongside the video she shared via Instagram on August 17, 2022.
The former reality TV star also discussed her decision to have plastic surgery and said that she wanted to “keep it classy, not trashy.”
“First of all, there are women of a certain age … and women who are much younger … [who] are all doing plastic surgery,” NeNe explained in a separate video. “If you followed me on the Real Housewives of Atlanta many, many, many years ago, I did some surgery — I did my boobs and I did my nose. A lot of people for whatever reason think that I’ve done a lot of stuff. I get all kinds of comments, it’s really hilarious to me. But Dr. Okoro will tell you that I have not and that is the truth.”
NeNe revealed that she wasn’t sure what procedures she wanted to have until she had her consultation but knew that she wanted to “do something” to update her look.
“I wanted to have liposuction,” NeNe continued, adding that she wanted to slim down her “stomach and sides,” along with her “bra roll,” specifically. “You women know what I’m talking about, sometimes when you put your bra on and you want to wear a [backless] shirt and you see a little extra bit of fat that you just don’t think is attractive.”

However, the I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding star was hesitant to get a Brazilian butt lift at first.
“I just feel like the old folks home is going to look crazy with a bunch of giant booties up in here,” NeNe said.
While she admitted that she “liked her ass,” she wanted to “fix [her] problem areas.” Dr. Okoro explained that even the smallest of injections in her posterior would be considered a Brazilian butt lift, and NeNe said that she was like a “professional mini BBL” to help her achieve the desired look.
