Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension to stay with new coach Pete Carroll's team on Wednesday after months of speculation about his next possible landing spot.
The contract includes $91.5 million worth of guaranteed money and came with a strong message to the Raiders faithful that he is committed to the silver and black for the foreseeable future.
Crosby's signing included messages from across the professional and college football landscapes including one from Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, prompting a response from the former Eastern Michigan Eagles star.

"Congratulations to my dear friend @CrosbyMaxx well deserved, certainly earned & I'm so darn proud of u," Deion Sanders said. "You play the game the way it's supposed to be played."
Crosby responded to the message from 'Coach Prime' with a heartfelt note of his own.
"Love You Coach. Means The World Coming From You," the Raiders defensive end added.
With Crosby's extension done, the Raiders have a chance to build their team through the free agency period, which begins on March 12, and the 2025 NFL draft, which will take place from Thursday, April 24 to Saturday, April 26 in Green Bay.
