Rob Gronkowski Makes Opinion of New Patriots WR Stefon Diggs Perfectly Clear

The New England Patriots took some time to find a new top weapon for young franchise quarterback Drake Maye. However, they have finally made a sizable move at the wide receiver position.

After the solid signing of Mack Hollins earlier in free agency, the Patriots were able to land veteran star wideout Stefon Diggs on Tuesday.

While they gave him a three-year, $69 million contract, Diggs has the potential to be a high-impact piece for New England. He is coming off of an ACL tear and he is now 31 years old, but he's the kind of piece that could help unlock more of Maye's potential.

Following the signing of Diggs, one Patriots legend has spoken out with a high opinion of the move.

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs warms up before the game against the Buffalo Bills at NRG Stadium.

Rob Gronkowski is a big fan of the Diggs signing for New England. He spoke out about the move during a segment on "Dudes On Dudes."

“I think it was the right move for New England to bring him in,” Gronkowski said. “New England needs a guy, they need wide receivers, they need a number one.

"Stefon Diggs might not be that number one, but he'll at least be a solid number two and I'm sure he's got some big playmaking ability still left in the tank.”
