Paul "PK" Kemsley and Mauricio Umansky's friendship is unbreakable, even as they both navigate difficult marital separations.
Mauricio split up from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards in the summer of 2023, while PK and Dorit Kemsley announced their separation in May 2024. Since then, Kyle and Dorit have struggled to repair their friendship, while Mauricio and PK have only grown closer.
PK opened up about how Mauricio has supported him during a chat with Us Weekly on the red carpet for the opening of Planet Hollywood in New York City on March 11.
"We were [friends] anyway, it wasn't about the fact that we're both separated," he told the outlet about their long-standing relationship. "We were close anyway, the fact that we're going through this together is obviously helpful for us. You know, we can share, because not everybody understands it, and it's a little bit difficult when it's played out so publicly."

PK and Mauricio have documented how close they've become on social media. In addition to traveling together — from Miami to London — Mauricio and PK have supported one another.
For example, when Mauricio broke his clavicle while skiing in Aspen, PK took to his Instagram page to share a video of the two hugging.
"This is what support actually looks like," PK wrote in the caption.
Are Dorit Kemsley and PK on good terms today?
PK's relationship with Dorit is still touch and go. In the mid-March interview, he specifically said that it's been challenging to watch RHOBH Season 14 back. "It's tough because we're re-living what was 10 months ago, you know... So, yeah, it's tough, but we're getting through it," PK said. "We are in good places, bad places. We're going through what every couple [does] — it's not easy, but it's not horrible either. She's still Dorit, she's still fabulous. She's very chic, very chic."
How Dorit Kemsley and PK's are co-parenting while separated
PK also shared that his and Dorit's focus remains on their children, Jagger Kemsley and Phoenix Kemsley.
"The kids are good, and we're working together with the kids," he added. "We took them to Disney, and we celebrated their birthdays together, so that's all good."
PK reiterated that during a recent chat with The Daily Mail. "There’s nothing to update. We’re navigating co-parenting," he said. "I’m with [Phoenix and Jagger] every weekend. They’re with me. We celebrated the birthdays together in the last few weeks. The kids are good."
Dorit, for her part, recently criticized PK's parenting on RHOBH. However, she quickly clarified her comments on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.
“Do I think he’s a good father? Yes, I do. Truly,” she said. “He’s not the most hands on father, but… there are many different ways to be a good father. I feel very lucky that my kids have PK as their father.”
