Stassi Schroeder announced the death of her stepdad this week with a series of photos shared to her Instagram Story.
Along with a number of heartfelt messages about her mom Dayna Schroeder‘s former spouse, the Vanderpump Rules alum, 35, posted images of Lance Czermak with her and her two kids, including 3-year-old daughter Hartford and 9-month-old son Messer.
“[Twenty-five] years with the best stepdad I could’ve hoped for. He was that one family member you always wanted to have around. It truly feels like the end of an era,” Stassi wrote with photos of Lance and her kids, along with a broken-heart emoji.
She then shared an image of herself holding Messer with Lance standing in front of her.
“One of our last photos together. My face says it all,” she said in the caption.
In a third photo, which saw Lance on the phone as Hartford stood before him, Stassi said, “Calling Santa to scare Hartford into behaving,” with a crying emoji.
As Pump Rules fans may know, Stassi’s mom married Lance after splitting from her father, Mark Schroeder. Then, in 2018, Dayna split from Lance and went on to marry her current husband Eric Wyland, who she confirmed was battling cancer earlier this year.
“Round three of chemo…doctors are trying to shrink the three metastasis on the liver in hopes of doing a resection surgery in June. 8 week recovery, more chemo….radiation on the colorectal cancer and then another surgery,” she shared in March. I’m so proud of Eric, he is doing everything right. He completely changed his way of eating. Cut out sugar and eating things that are so healthy for him. Drinking only water.”
Stassi Schroeder was featured on the first eight seasons of Vanderpump Rules.
