Vanderpump Rules personality Peter Madrigal has hinted at what the future of the reality series could look like amid news of a recasting.
The longtime SUR employee — who has made appearances on the Bravo television show throughout its 12 years on air — suggested he might still be seen on TV screens, despite the cast shakeup.
According to TMZ, the 40-year-old restaurant manager has insinuated that he is the one familiar face that could remain in future seasons.
He told the publication: 'I'm very grateful for all the time that I spent with everybody on the show for 10 seasons. That's a lot of television. I'm grateful for what we had together for those 10 seasons.'
Peter then teased with a smile, 'I don't think it's going to be an entirely new cast. I think you're gonna see a familiar face.'
'You never know; it might be yours truly. There's going to be an entirely somewhat new cast, but there might be a familiar face,' he repeated.
It comes weeks after Madrigal spoke to The US Sun and supported the idea of a reboot.
'Of course, why not? Let’s do it. If that’s what it takes to get another show up and running,' he told the publication. He had only one condition as he emphasized, 'Let’s do it. Just… pay Peter.'
Madrigal continues to work at Lisa Vanderpump's West Hollywood restaurant while the original cast has moved on from their bartending, hosting, and serving jobs.
The new cast consists of 'close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessor,' the network said this week.
Lisa will be returning and the upcoming season will begin filming in 2025, with the new cast and premiere date to be announced at a later time.
DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for NBCUniversal, Bravo's parent company, for comment.
Last season's fixtures included Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, James Kennedy and Scheana Shay.
'What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,' executive producer Alex Baskin said in a statement.
'With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together,' he added.
The official press release noted, 'Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships and frenemies.'
Lisa said in the announcement: 'The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between. I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives.
'How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.'
The show 'will celebrate the past decade of heartbreaks, friendship rifts and scandals with a retrospective special highlighting the past 11 seasons', the release also stated.
TMZ reported that the original cast only learned about the show's new direction the evening before the news broke.
And it was noted by the outlet that most of the original stars were not surprised by the shake-up, given the show's recent hiatus.
