The New York Rangers finally managed to snap their losing streak after making a few roster changers, ultimately having Matt Rempe return to the line after being recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Friday night, the Rangers showed up ready and managed to take a 3-1 victory over the Stars. Unfortunately things took an unexpected turn when Matt Rempe got ejected from the game after laying a nasty headshot on Miro Heiskanen.
And now, Matt Rempe faces a major suspension as the NHL Department of Player Safety made an announcement earlier this morning and ruled that he will have an in-person hearing for that hit.
However, following the game Peter Laviolette didn't hold back and gave an honest response to Mollie Walker of the New York Post when asked about Matt Rempe.
